🔥 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐖𝐃𝐒𝐅 𝐖𝐂𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔! 🔥

We know....everybody was waiting for a long time for this information: the competition venue of the WDSF World Championship 2026 - Slovenia.
And finally today, we are able to share it!

The competition will be held on the wonderful fields of 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐳̌, 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐣𝐞, a perfect professional location for our four sports.

It is situated in a green area, where you can enjoy the walks with your dog. There are also lots of hotels and houses in just a few minutes from the competition fields, were you and your dog are welcome.

🔥 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐖𝐃𝐒𝐅 𝐖𝐂𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 🔥

Finally, today we can announce the long-awaited news!

The WDSF World Championship 2026 will be held from 𝟏𝟖–𝟐𝟎 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 and will bring together the four WDSF disciplines: Agility, IGP, Mondioring, and Obedience.

Please note an important update regarding the location: the World Championship will no longer take place in Nova Gorica, but will instead be hosted in the beautiful city of 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐨𝐫, Slovenia.

𝗪𝗗𝗦𝗙 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Dear Sport Friends,

We are pleased to share an update regarding the WDSF World Championship 2026.
As you may recall, we previously informed you that it might be necessary to separate the sports, since no member club had the capacity to host all four disciplines at one event in 2026. We knew that was not an ideal solution — but we are happy to say that has now changed.

Thanks to our open communication, the WDSF member club of Slovenia has stepped forward with an excellent proposal. We extend our sincere appreciation to Anja Brunec and her team for their initiative and dedication!

All four sports — Agility, Mondio, IGP and Obedience — will be hosted at the beautiful Nova Gorica stadium, a venue well-known for its successful World Championships.

The only challenge is scheduling: due to local and logistical factors, it is not possible to hold the Championship in May, our usual timeframe. Therefore, in agreement with the WDSF membership, the WDSF World Championship 2026 will take place at the end of September / beginning of October 2026.

Please note: because of this later date, WDSF will not be able to send our IGP Champion as a wild card competitor to the FCI IGP World Championship 2026. This exception applies only to the 2026 season.

More information will follow as soon as it becomes available.

We also want to thank Next Level SDC, Cascade S.C., Dallas/Fort Worth Malinois Club (USA – IGP), Nadine Schöfer and team Herderclan Hauptquartier (Germany – Mondioring), and Kim Stacey and her team (The Netherlands – Agility) for their willingness to assist if needed.

We would like to inform you that we are also working with a country to host the WDSF World Championship 2027. Hopefully, we can also add possible hosts for the WDSF World Championships 2028 and 2029 soon.

Together, we continue to strengthen the international Dutch Shepherd community.

The 𝗙𝗖𝗜 𝗜𝗚𝗣 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 has come to an end.

These were intense days, marked by challenging conditions and formidable competition.
Despite the pressure and adversity, our champions Simon Willfort 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮! 𝗩𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗹 🇦🇹 have demonstrated very good performance and dedication throughout the championship with total score 72-86-81.

We are very proud of their achievements and wish them future success!

From September 15th to 21st, the highly anticipated 𝗙𝗖𝗜 𝗜𝗚𝗣 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 is taking place in Spain!

This prestigious event gathers the strongest IGP athletes from around the world, making it the most significant and largest gathering in the IGP sport calendar.

Our proud representatives, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗗𝗦𝗙 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮! 𝗩𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗹 🇦🇹, will be competing on the world stage!

HOW THE 2026 WDSF CHAMPIONSHIP IS ACTUALLY COMING TOGETHER

When no other club had committed to hosting the 2026 WDSF Championship, Next Level Smart Dog Club stepped forward and submitted an application to host the IGP portion in the United States. We are awaiting final approval, but we have already secured 500 acres of prime tracking ground, an FCI judge paid for by a supporting organization, and a championship regulation field, all centrally located in the US. We made that commitment so the event could move forward, even if we were the last resort. If a European club steps up to host the event, we will gladly withdraw our hosting application.

Since then, The Board of Directors and I have been in active discussions with clubs and individuals in both the US and Europe to find solutions that work for every discipline. The goal has never been about who gets the credit. It has been about making sure this championship happens for the breed, the sport, and the international community.

I appreciate everyone who has reached out with offers of help, including additional individuals and clubs. The more resources we have, the stronger this year’s event will be. My hope is that all handlers, supporters, and clubs, regardless of affiliation, will participate and contribute in whatever way they can.

This is an opportunity to work together and show what our community can accomplish when we put politics aside and focus on the dogs. I look forward to seeing everyone on the field.

🏆 𝐖𝐃𝐒𝐅 𝐖𝐂𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 🏆

Greeting fellow Dutch Shepherd handlers and enthusiasts!

We know that we have delayed sending out information about the WDSF Championships 2026.

This year, has turned out to be a bit difficult finding a WDSF member club to host all four sports. Several members were contacted but none could do it.

We know that we are running out of time for competitors to take time off from work and to prepare, make plans, travel, etc., to be able to compete, spectate and visit with friends.

At this time, we can let you know that organizing the four sports in a central location will not be possible. Due to time constraints, we decided for 2026, it would be best to separate each sport. We felt it would make it easier for member clubs to dedicate fully to a single sport.

Therefore the WDSF WC2026 will be held in separate locations on different dates. Which country will organized which sport and which date, shall be announced as soon as all the paperwork and information is presented and approved.

The Obedience and Agility sports are still open for a host.
