On April 24th, 2025, the Moon Bound Book, alongside artworks and seeds, was integrated into a pyramid created by LifeShip — destined for the Moon’s south pole.

🌙 🌎 How does the Moon see the Earth?

The Moon has always had the most extraordinary view of Earth — witnessing about 4.5 billion years of our planet’s history, gazing upon every continent shift, every ocean form, and civilizations passing by.

Humans, however, haven’t seen the Earth from lunar perspective for over 50 years, and finally, the Artemis II mission gave us that view back.

A memorable visit to the Moon Bound Plovdiv Exhibition

We were honored to welcome Lakshmi Mohanbabu — an architect, designer, and multidisciplinary artist — at the Moon Bound Exhibition at the Bishop’s Basilica of Philippopolis, where her artwork Time Slices was on display.

During the visit, Lakshmi joined a podcast interview to Podtepeto Plovdiv.

Moments like these remind us of the power of art to connect, inspire, and spark conversation 💫

Launched in July 2023, ESA’s Euclid Mission explores the nature of dark matter and dark energy. Accompanying the instruments is a unique piece of art fixed to the spacecraft—the Fingertip Galaxy plaque, with the finger marks of over 250 mission scientists and engineers, symbolising the many personal contributions to the mission and the spirit of the endeavour.

🚀🌙 Looking Back at the Artemis II Launch

Moon Gallery’s artist and collaborator Christopher Cokinos shares his experience from Florida:

“... the disjunction between years of waiting and a long travel day and a traffic jam and getting to the causeway with other NASA guests and waiting for two hours and making new friends—between all that and—the sight of the silent exhaust plume churning like a ground-hugging thunderhead and the binocular-bright orange, yellow and white of the flames gushing like some kind of waterfall made of fire, and the extremely fast rising up and arcing over, getting smaller, then the rumbling in the chest—not as loud as I expected—then the rocket up high and horizontal, crackling and popping like an American muscle car from the 1970s backfiring and backfiring...the disjunction between before the event and the actuality of it...it still sits in me like disbelief. And something like hope.”
