An inspiring 2nd conference day at Terra Botanica 🌳

A morning of industry presentations touched upon hot topics of the industry and gave insights into the French seed market. Hélène Taquet from Collectif de la fleur française spoke on the rebirth of cutflower production in France, while Michel Nicou and Mathilde de Lagarde from Excellence Végétale gave insights into their quality label programme, most notably their Label Rouge, standing for superior product quality.

Next up was an introduction and group discussion on the new EU packaging regulation EmpCo, lead by Robert Wacker from Media Concept. Rob van der Voort gave a company presentation on Van Hemert Seeds, Fleuroselect member celebrating their 150th anniversary this year!

Talks were followed by guided tours through Terra Botanica who were hosting us for the day. Their own gardeners lead the group through the butterfly greenhouse, a mystical forest walk and a selection of their botanical collection.
