Day 2 of our Convention in Philadelphia was packed with highlights!

After hosting our Annual General Meeting in the morning, we headed to Chanticleer Gardens for a guided tour together with the American Home Garden Seed Association. We continued with a joint roundtable discussion, providing insights into the EU and US seed markets. A great opportunity for members of both organisations to connect with each other.

In the afternoon we headed to Andalusia Historic House & Gardens, an impressive estate on the banks of the Delaware river, where we closed off our convention. A dinner in the gardens was followed by our gold medal award ceremony.
Congratulations again to PanAmerican Seed, Benary and Sakata Ornamentals EMEA for their breeding breakthroughs and to Gerard Werink for becoming our first ever Member of Merit in recognition of his outstanding contribution to our organisation as longstanding trial judge and EEC / FleuroStar Committee member!

Day 1 of our 55th Annual Convention is a wrap! We started at Lucas Greenhouses where George and his family welcomed us and showed us around their impressive production facilities. Their trial field was in full bloom as well, showcasing many Fleuroselect member varieties waiting to be explored.

In the afternoon we headed to the legendary Fordhook Farm were George Ball and Jamie Mattikow from Burpee Gardening gave us insights into their history and the mark they made on the horticultural industry. After guided tours through the various gardens of the estate which included a full Fleuroselect annual trial grown in honour of our delegation, we enjoyed a lovely networking dinner in the garden.

𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹, as displayed in week 18 at Syngenta Flowers EMEA and PanAmerican Seed.

The varieties were entered by Fleuroselect members and are currently being evaluated against comparison varieties by our judges at 10+ locations across Europe.
