For the past few months, we were delighted to have Owen Jennings on board! He worked on the design of a frame runner for Tanzania.
"Hi, I am Owen Jennings, a bachelor's student of Industrial Design Engineering at THUAS. I recently went on a trip to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where I designed and built a new frame runner for the Matumaini primary school of the salvation army. The trip was a success, with a few adjustments we were able to build the frame runner and the children loved it! I want to thank the DAGE workshop, with their help I was able to source all the parts and build everything locally. They were an essential part in making my designs a reality and I don't think the project would be what it is within them. Additionally, I want to give a huge thanks to the Movendi foundation and the THUAS research group for the opportunity and support throughout this amazing project."
