Pien de Beer () is a professional piercer from the Netherlands and owner of Dodeka Ink in Tilburg. She is a proud APP member and APP Benelux member.
Alongside her work in the studio, she is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a focus on clinical and forensic psychology.
We’re excited to have her join the speaker lineup this year.

At the conference, Pien will be teaching Needles and Nerves.

This class explores how the perception of pain is shaped by both psychological and neurological factors. From concepts like priming to the pathways pain takes through the body, Pien connects theory to practice, offering insight into how piercers can actively influence and improve the client experience.

Barron () is a professional piercer, educator, and current APP Board member with nearly 20 years of experience in the industry. Based at Born This Way Body Arts in Knoxville, he’s been teaching at APP conferences and internationally for many years, with a strong focus on safe practices and supporting fellow piercers.

At this year’s APP Benelux conference, he’ll be teaching three classes focused on technique, communication, and studio practices.

Versatility of Needle Blanks explores the fundamentals of needle blanks and how they can be used in multiple ways throughout the piercing process - especially valuable for non-disposable studios.

They’re Back: Piercing Navels - This class will cover the resurgence of Navel Piercings. While covering how to pierce your typical navel, Barron will also explore piercing floating navels and unique anatomy. This presentation will cover different navel structures, markings and jewelry styles.

In Piercing Children using Effective Communication, Barron focuses on working with younger clients, covering behavior, stress responses, communication, and how to guide both children and parents through the process.

Ryan Ouellette () is a professional piercer, studio owner, and educator with over 25 years of experience, and a familiar face at conferences worldwide, including the APP in Las Vegas.

At this year’s conference, he’ll be teaching three classes focused on safety, technique, and practical application in the piercing room.

Safe Practices in the Piercing Room covers essential protocols around material handling, cross contamination, sharps, and sterilization - relevant for both single-use and reprocessing studios.

In Revisiting Basics: Tongue Piercings, he dives into anatomy, placement, marking, techniques, and aftercare to support safer procedures and smoother healing.

His Open Techniques Workshop is an interactive session with live demonstrations, tailored to attendee questions around marking and piercing techniques.
