Happy International Women's Day! 🌷

We celebrated by making over 80 paper flowers for the third year in a row, bringing joy to female residents and employees at an elderly home. Spreading niceness truly makes us happy!☀️

This year, we were also joined by Tiberiu from , and we're excited for future collaborations.💪🏻

A week has gone by and the excitement has mostly settled. Therefore, it is time to relive the great times again through the photos!✨️

From the 27.1 until the 29.1 there was a pre-REM in Groningen () and then an amazing REM in Utrecht (). This time we joined the event with a record number of members from our club - there was 6 of us! For many of them this was the first international event, but they said its absolutely not their last.

We are incredibly happy we were able to help with pre-REM organisation and we believe the attendees could feel this positive energy💚

We also want to congratulate the HOC for the amazing organisation. We enjoyed every part of it - the workshops, the social project, city tours, beer tasting, the gala, and more. We are glad that such a great event took place in the Netherlands, even though we never doubted it will be amazing🤎

We are already looking into how to make time in our schedules for and we hope to see all of you there🌊

Until then, we still have some great project coming and we can't wait to tell you all about them🥰

Yesterday we attended the AAV (general delegates assembly) where we listened to a workshop about Inter-country committees, and got a report on REM Skopje, upcoming REM Utrecht, the budget, and other important things. We also got to again see and have a chat with everyone🥰

In preparation for we also walked around the lovely Utrecht. You should not miss out on this beautiful city! First wave of tickets is out on the 27th of October✨️

Last week we joined the Kei week information market where we talked to many interested new students about our club🤩

We talked about our projects, the socials we organise and the amazing opportunities for a global network with Rotaract. The event was a great success! We talked to over 100 people and got new prospective members✨️

Exploring the different cultures through food🌎

We are using our last days before the summer for socials and getting to know the different cultures. And is there a better way to do that than by trying different food and talking about the cultures while enjoying the meal?🍛

Yesterday, we got to enjoy some delicious Kenyan food made by Gabriel🇰🇪. Today, Hana prepared us an amazing Japanese dinner🇯🇵.

These types of socials are just one of the pros of being an international club with members from many different cultures✨️😊

We are already interested in which countries food we are trying the next time🤔

With today's pub quiz, our year has come to an end✨️

As the year ends, there are many thanks to give.💙

First, thank you to my board and all of the members for every ounce of energy, time, and enthusiasm you put into the club this year. Without all of that, none of the great things we have done this year would be possible.🫂

Second, thank you to for all the energy, help, and advice you gave us throughout the six years. We are very happy to have you as our honorary member.💐

Third, thank you to everyone who supports and helps us. Especially thank you to Rotary Groningen Centrum for always listening to us, welcoming us with open arms, and helping us. All the support we have received has helped us improve ourselves as well as the club.😌

Last, but definitely not the least, thank you to for coming tonight and making our last event of the year more fun! We hope to strengthen the bond between our clubs in the future year even more🥰

The year as a president has had a lot of ups and downs. I
learnt a lot through it and will take all the lessons with me not only in to my Rotaract future, but in my life in general. However, most of all, I enjoyed it and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.💙

For those who have them, good luck with the exams! And to everyone, I wish you a wonderful and relaxing summer. I am excited for the next year and to see what it has in store for us and our club☀️

Today, on the first day of spring💐, we again organised a bingo for residents of Ufkenshuis Siddeburen. We had a great time spending our afternoon there and hope that they enjoyed it as much as we did🥰

We also got to try Advokaat - it is "heel lekker", so it is safe to say that we will buy it for the next social!

On the 22nd of February, we organised our annual project in collaboration with the Forum. It saw hundreds of little children flock to the Forum children's library for an afternoon of fun, games, and learning.🤗

The project is geared towards helping spread knowledge about different countries and cultures to young children. It saw stalls from Zimbabwe, Japan, Greece, Venezuela, and Turkey🇿🇼🇯🇵🇬🇷🇻🇪🇹🇷, with individuals who shared their knowledge on the cultures, including games, monuments, and different types of food. This year, we even included some 3d prints of the countries and their main monuments!🤩

It was an amazing event, and we look forward to throwing next year's!🌎

My name is Tia, and I come from Ljubljana, Slovenia. Im 21 years old and currently finishing my third year of psychology here in Groningen :)  I found out about this club through a friend and I fell in love with the concept of bringing people together from all over the world to create a community and hopefully make a small change in the world. 🌟

We would like to invite you to come check our our project ‘Travelling through Wonderland’🛫🌎

With this project, we aim to interactively present different nationalities and countries to the children by filling in their special passport. We are also more than happy to tell more about the countries to the parents and maybe even give some tips for the next travelling adventures.
As our club contains many different people with different backgrounds and cultures, we are happy to share first-hand experiences from the countries Turkey, Greece, Japan, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe. 🇹🇷🇬🇷🇯🇵🇻🇪🇿🇼

The international journey will take place on the 22nd of February from 12.00 to 16.00 in the kids' library of the Forum of Groningen. The entrance is free.

BEER AND BINGO

On 19.11, the International Men's Day, we organised a bingo at an elderly home in the Groningen region. Everyone had a lot of fun and was very happy with the prizes they received🎉 To celebrate their day, men also got a special gift - each of them received a can of delicious beer🍻
