New in our Network: Frank Lloyd Wright Houses at the Currier Museum

The Zimmerman and Kalil Houses are the only two houses designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the state of New Hampshire.

Isadore and Lucille Zimmerman and Toufic and Mildred Kalil were husband-and-wife pairs without children who worked in medicine.
Both couples wanted homes that offered respite from their busy working lives. Wright’s architecture met their needs with compact, efficient spaces and harmonious connections to the landscape. Each house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Currier Museum offers guided tours of both houses a unique opportunity to experience the evolution of Wright’s architecture in his final decade.

CASA BOLA, Eduardo Longo, São Paulo, 1970

In 2017, Iconic Houses had the privilege of visiting Eduardo Longo in his Casa Bola, where he was still living at the time.

It’s wonderful to see how this remarkable house has now been given a new lease of life through the fifth edition of ABERTO, which took place from March 8 to May 31, 2026.

For the first time, Casa Bola — Eduardo Longo’s iconic spherical home in São Paulo, built in the 1970s — was opened to the public. Across its 1,000 sqm of curves, ramps and light, more than 60 works by 50 Brazilian and international artists occupied the building, which is itself a work of art.

What a beautiful way to bring this extraordinary house back to life and introduce it to a new generation.

Book Your Van Wassenhove House Visit

In addition to the monthly weekends with two visiting days at the Van Wassenhove House, additional visits will be organised from 29 November to 14 March, Wednesday through Sunday, to mark the 100th anniversary of Juliaan Lampens’ birth.

Designed by Juliaan Lampens and built between 1972 and 1974 in Sint-Martens-Latem, the Van Wassenhove House is considered an icon of Belgian modernist architecture. Concrete, wood and glass come together in a single open-plan living space, where architecture and everyday life seamlessly merge.

✨ Can architecture change the way we live—and even the way we think?

On the outskirts of Tokyo stands one of the most radical residential buildings of the 21st century: Reversible Destiny Lofts—Mitaka (In Memory of Helen Keller), designed by artists Shusaku Arakawa and Madeline Gins.

Completed in 2005, this extraordinary housing complex is far more than a place to live. Conceived as a "house to not to die" it challenges residents to engage their bodies and senses every day. Uneven floors, vibrant colours, vertical poles, and unconventional spaces encourage movement, exploration, and constant awareness instead of habitual routines. At Iconic Houses we are fascinated by projects that push the boundaries of residential architecture. Yannis Moralis' House, Reopens Its Doors on Aegina, Greece
A rare opportunity to step inside an artist's world.

This August, the iconic Yannis Moralis House & Studio on the Greek island of Aegina opens its doors to the public for just two days. For lovers of artists' houses, architecture and modern art, this is a unique opportunity not to be missed.

Designed in the 1970s by renowned architect Aris Konstantinidis, the house is considered a masterpiece of modern Greek architecture. More than a home, it was the creative sanctuary of Yannis Moralis, one of Greece's most celebrated 20th-century artists. Here, architecture, landscape and artistic practice come together in an extraordinary way.

Visitors will have the exceptional chance to explore Moralis' studio and living spaces, offering a rare glimpse into the environment where many of his works were conceived.

Alongside guided tours, the programme includes two special evening concerts, making this an unforgettable cultural experience.
