Want to make your evidence synthesis more rigorous, transparent, and reliable? 🔬📊

Just before ESCI 2027, young ESCI members have the opportunity to strengthen an essential set of research skills at the Systematic Review, Mapping & Meta-analysis Methods course in Coimbra.

Taking place on 31 May and 1 June 2027 at the University of Coimbra, the two-day course will take participants step by step through systematic reviewing, systematic mapping, and meta-analysis. Through lectures, practical sessions, and Q&A, participants will explore the theory behind the review process and learn methods designed to maximise comprehensiveness, transparency, objectivity, and reliability.

The course is led by Dr Neal Haddaway and Dr Alfredo Sánchez-Tójar, with places limited to just 35 participants. ESCI and University of Coimbra members benefit from a reduced registration fee of €150.A valuable opportunity to develop your methodology, meet fellow researchers, and arrive at the ESCI Annual Scientific Meeting already immersed in scientific exchange. 🤝
