Transformation is never a solo act. It requires patience, balance, and collective leadership.
This week in Ankara, we officially launched the ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต-๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ๐น ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฎ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, bringing together global leaders committed to making Food Systems MISSION: POSSIBLE.
Inspired by ๐ธ๐๐๐ข, the traditional Turkish art of paper marbling, the symbolic launch reflected how separate strengths can create something far better.
Representing leadership, government, science and civil society, H.E. Carlos Alvarado Quesada, Orhan Solak, Sonja Vermeulen, Dr Dhanush Dinesh each placed a drop of colour into the water, forming the COP31 symbol - a powerful reflection of our shared path toward a climate-resilient and equitable future.
The day also featured inspiring conversations on Tรผrkiyeโs climate-smart agriculture innovations with Selda TURKOGLU COSKUN (PhD), Suat Dede, and Abdulkadir Karabulut ; critical lessons on scaling resilience shared by Aditya Alta (Center for Indonesian Policy Studies); insights on the V4JRT initiative from Harriet Smith, PhD; and a high-level leadership dialogue with Panel members Orhan Solak, Tshilidzi Madzivhandila, and Gabriel Ferrero de Loma Osorio, facilitated by Tania Karas (Devex).
Following the launch, the momentum continued as our Chair, H.E. Carlos Alvarado Quesada, met with H.E. Murat Kurum, Minister of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change and COP31 President Designate COP31 Tรผrkiye, to present the Panelโs mission and strategic work ahead. This high-level alignment is a critical step in ensuring that just rural transitions remain at the heart of the global climate agenda.
