There is a certain kind of Saturday that exists only for the sake of being a Saturday🫣. But this wasn’t one of those.

We brought our projects and our half-baked 💡ideas, the kind we usually keep tucked away in the back of our heads like 🧾old receipts. We shared them with each other and must say, and it was inspiring and refreshing!

The next days brought plenty of practice of the material learned throughout the program!

The “Facilitation Lab” transformed into a playground for exploring different forms and shapes of facilitation using 🎭Applied Theatre. That’s how participants organized various activities and workshops for each other, to fine-tune their methods and share best practices!

Now, the learning leaves the room and the focus shifts entirely to community application and outreach.

We can’t build a 🏠good house on wobbly ground, and we can’t run a good group process without knowing❓why we show up every morning.

So, we talked about the big, scary question: Why do we even do this? 🤷‍♀️

We focused on motivation, and the best ways to keep each other engaged when the day is long. We brought some 🤹‍♀️impro elements to play with different levels of energy and then… we had our 🥼OPEN SURGERY. Sounds dramatic, doesn’t it? It was less scalpels and more 🗺️maps. We just laid out methods we’d learned, looked at them all, and made sure we knew what was what. A big tidy-up of the brain.

Finally, we started building our 🥽Facilitation Labs. Taking all those thoughts—those good ideas and turning them into actual plans for a workshop.

The groundwork is done. Now, the 🎉fun starts.

We are glad to anounce that we have started our training course: Frame, Facilitate, Flow!

Through applied theatre, we are bringing playfulness to the concepts of group learning & facilitation across EU!

We’re diving into methods like:
• Clowning
• Community Performance
• Body Movement
• Storytelling
• Impro Theatre
• Process Drama

All with the goal to increase the quality of youth work while creating engaging spaces!

We’re also tackling key facilitation challenges, such as:
🎯 Adapting sessions to fit the target group.
🚦 Responding to the unexpected moments in a group.
💡 Uncovering the core motivation behind our work.

The project can happen thanks to the funds received by the Erasmus+ programme and Nederlands Jugendinstitut.

We are happy to share few shots from the first days and stay updated with us, more are about to come!
