That’s what our Social Network Evening is all about: a relaxed evening to connect, enjoy some pizza, and get to know new people. You’ll create your own profile card, hang it on the wall, and discover who’s behind every story. 🌞

The best part? There’s space to ask for a hand. Looking for someone to practice a language with? Need help with your CV or your work? Want a sports buddy? Or stuck on something and not sure where to start? Write it down, someone in the room might be able to help.

In January this year, five young people from the UYN network took part in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Sport 4 Inclusion in Guadeloupe, lead by .cyn 🌞

Before travelling to the French Caribbean, participants had the opportunity to visit the French Ministry for Overseas Territories in Paris to learn more about the challenges and opportunities related to sport and social inclusion in overseas territories.

In Guadeloupe, the group connected with young people from Guadeloupe, France and Denmark through sport activities, cultural exchange, nature and community-based learning. From kayaking and physical training to workshops on inclusion and wellbeing, the project showed how sport can bring people together across cultures and backgrounds.

Inclusion starts with connection. From mainland Europe to the Caribbean, connected through sport. 🌍

This exchange was just the start, we will continue strengthening connections between mainland Europe and the Caribbean! More soon!

🇫🇷 Youth Exchange, Human Unity: Tackle Islamophobia - Through Daniel’s lens

End of October, Dutch members from Utrecht Youth Network took part in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Human Unity: Tackle Islamophobia” in the south of France, hosted by .cyn

Together with participants from 🇫🇷 France, 🇩🇰 Denmark, 🇮🇹 Italy, 🇹🇷 Türkiye, 🇯🇴 Jordan, 🇦🇲 Armenia and 🇲🇰 North Macedonia, we explored how to tackle Islamophobia, strengthen social cohesion and promote human rights.

From interactive workshops to hiking in the mountains of southern France, from intercultural evenings with homemade dishes to long coffee breaks, meaningful conversations and cultural bonding, a week full of learning and connection.

One of the sessions led by the Dutch team focused on media literacy, where participants analysed how different newspapers report on global events and reflected on bias, framing and misinformation.

As part of the local follow-up, we continued these conversations in Utrecht through a Dialogue Dinner, bringing the learning back to our own community.

Dialogue Diner 🍽️
