Stichting Mission Lanka

The Stichting Mission Lanka (SML) is committed to human rights for young and old in Sri Lanka. preface
With the establishment of the Stichting Mission Lanka (SML) on January 14, 2019, the step has been taken to fulfill a desire to help people in Srilanka. This is done by contributing where possible to sustainable peace and development in the country. Promote human rights awareness, promotion of c

hildren's rights and child education, contribute to the peacebuilding process where possible by providing mediation services between parties to disputes, take necessary steps to provide comfort to victims and minimize human rights violations where possible There are a number of spearheads on which the foundation focuses. In addition, women's rights, women's development and children's rights have our direct attention. Finally, we are convinced that freedom of expression, press and thought is necessary and helps to ensure a peaceful and harmonious existence for all citizens. We want to achieve all this through peaceful means, through politics, through Christian networks and from personal passion and love for our fellow countrymen. Objectives of the foundation
The foundation's goal is to work on the improvement of human rights in Sri Lanka regardless of origin, religion or other (political) beliefs. The foundation wants to do this by initiating sustainable change from the bottom up by combating poverty, hunger and injustice and thus offering a better future perspective for children and their families. In collaboration with private individuals, companies and organizations, the new generation is equipped with knowledge and opportunities to ultimately provide their own income and thereby they are taught to work together with dissenters. Achieving the goals
The foundation wants to achieve its goal by establishing sustainable connections between individuals, companies and organizations in the Netherlands/world and Sri Lanka. Knowledge and expertise are made available and facilities are provided for collaboration. We work in a solution-oriented way on requests for assistance from Sri Lanka. To promote the cause of human rights, peace and harmony, development, good governance, we make use of tools such as conducting seminars, counseling, publishing, government representation, organizing meetings and offering mediation in conflicts. Works from a clear philosophy of life
The foundation works from a Christian philosophy of life and has an eye for every person, just as Jesus Christ did. The foundation believes in the power of the written word in the Bible and not in the power of the weapon. It applies here that in the performance of its tasks it is important to simply be “hands and feet” of the objectives. And to do this without taking political or religious positions. Nor do we get involved in any discussions about this. Result
With all of this, we want to contribute to help create a harmonized society with a broader social identity. Inleiding
