أيدت المحكمة الاتحادية الألمانية العليا، في حكمها الاستئنافي، الإدانة الصادرة بحق المواطن السوري عمار أ. (33 عاماً)، العضو السابق في ميليشيا موالية لنظام الأسد. وكانت المحكمة الابتدائية قد أصدرت بحقه حكماً بالسجن المؤبد، لإدانته بارتكاب جرائم حرب وجرائم ضد الإنسانية، طالت مدنيين في مدينة بصرى الشام بمحافظة درعا، بين عامي 2012 و 2014. وتضمنت الأفعال الجرمية التي نُسبت إليه، وفقاً للقرار القضائي، جرائم القتل، والتعذيب، والتهجير القسري، وتدمير الممتلكات. و تفخر سيجا بدعمها لهذه القضية، و بمساهمتها في الجهود الرامية إلى ضمان المساءلة عن الجرائم الدولية الجسيمة و إنصاف الضحايا.

Conviction of Ammar A. upheld on appeal in Germany. Ammar A., a 33-year-old Syrian pro Assad militia member, was sentenced to life imprisonment for his role in war crimes and crimes against humanity of murder, torture, forcible transfer and destruction of property, carried out against civilians in Busra al-Sham, Dar’a, between 2012 and 2014. CIJA is proud to have supported this case and its contribution to accountability efforts for international crimes and achieving justice for victims.

ترحب سيجا بالحكم الصادر بحق العميد خالد الحلبي، الذي قضت محكمة فيينا الجنائية الإقليمية بسجنه ثماني سنوات، بعدما ظل فارًّا من العدالة منذ العام 2015. وقد أُدين الحلبي بارتكاب جرائم التعذيب، وإلحاق أذى جسدي خطير ، والإكراه المشدد، والاعتداء الجنسي، وذلك خلال فترة توليه رئاسة فرع المخابرات العامة بالرقة، في الفترة الممتدة بين 2011 و 2013.

كما أُدين مصعب أبو ركبة، الرئيس السابق لقسم التحقيق بفرع الأمن الجنائي بالرقة، بارتكاب أذى جسدي خطير، والإكراه المشدد، والإكراه الجنسي. وقضت المحكمة بإلزام المتهمين معًا بتسديد تعويض قدره 130,000 يورو للضحايا.

🚨CIJA welcomes the conviction of Khaled Al-Halabi who was sentenced to 8 years in prison by the Vienna Regional Criminal Court, after evading justice since 2015.

Al-Halabi was convicted of torture, serious bodily harm, aggravated coercion and sexual assault, committed as the head of the General Intelligence Branch 335 in Raqqa (2011–2013). Musab Abu Rukbah, former head of investigations at Raqqa criminal police, was also convicted of serious bodily harm, aggravated coercion, and sexual coercion. Both men were ordered to pay €130,000 in compensation to victims.

The Commission for International Justice and Accountability testified in the trial, having located Al-Halabi in Vienna in 2015, alerted Austrian authorities, and provided detailed dossiers, analysis, and evidence.
