From rapid technological shifts and geopolitical tension to climate disruption, economic volatility, and social change, many of the systems we once relied on feel less predictable than ever. The question is no longer whether uncertainty will shape our lives, but how we choose to respond to it.

Looking back, TEDxTheHague 2025: Zoom Out showed us what happens when an extraordinary community comes together to challenge perspective.

From Marco Bosmans uncovering truths in forensic science to Salvador Santino Regilme rethinking foreign aid; from Koen van den Biggelaar reminding us to pause to Mads Nissen revealing the raw reality behind co***ne; from Kelly Indira Buis training our curiosity to Maarten van der Weijden lighting up the room with compassion in action.

Last year, over 150 of us paused, zoomed out, and looked at the world differently.

And now? It’s time for what comes next. 🔴

We are officially stepping into TEDxTheHague 2026: Beyond Uncertainty.

The world isn't getting any more predictable, but we aren't waiting for the future, we are shaping it together.

What an incredible wrap-up to our Summer Salons! ✨

A massive, heartfelt thank you to our incredible speakers from this edition: Eldin Fajkovic, Wiebe Wakker and Manon van der Horst! 👏

You brought your authentic stories, powerful insights, and amazing energy to our stage, showing us all what it truly means to step out of our comfort zones and feel alive.

Our guest for the upcoming Salon event, “Feeling Alive” on July 18th, is Wiebe Wakker

In 2016, Wiebe set out on a seemingly impossible journey: to drive an electric car from the Netherlands to Australia- completely without money.

He depended entirely on the kindness of strangers for food, electricity, and a place to sleep.

Over the next three years, he traveled 95,000 kilometers through 33 countries.

Through total reliance on human connection, uncertainty, and extreme vulnerability, Wiebe uncovered the core of what it really means to “feel alive.”

We have an amazing guest lined up for our next Salon event! On July 18th, join us for “Feeling Alive” as we welcome the incredible Eldin Fajkovic.

Eldin came to the Netherlands as a refugee from Yugoslavia when he was just four years old. For years, he navigated the deep tension between different cultures.

Eventually, that friction gave way to something else entirely: a profound sense of belonging that transcends nationality altogether.

Through deep practices of connection—both with the natural world and within a community- Eldin discovered what it truly means to feel alive.

Ever feel like you’re running fast but not sure where you’re heading? 🤔

What actually makes life meaningful? Is it success, freedom, impact... or something totally different? In a world full of expectations, it’s easy to forget to ask: When was the last time I truly felt alive? Not comfortable. Not distracted. But fully present.

Many of us spend our lives trying to avoid discomfort. In doing so, we might also be avoiding the very experiences that make life feel real.

Let’s talk about it. We’re hosting a TEDxTheHague Salon, and it’s an invitation to slow down, step slightly outside your comfort zone, and unpack these big questions together.

This isn't a workshop with neat answers. It’s a space to think, feel, and connect.
