Why does consistent PCF reporting matter for labels? 🌍

As customers increasingly request Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) information, one question becomes more important: Are we comparing like with like?

For example, should a PCF be expressed per 1,000 m² of labelstock or per 1,000 converted labels? And which processes should be included?

Consistent PCF reporting starts with clearly defined declared units, system boundaries, data sources and transparent assumptions.

That's where the upcoming FINAT PCF Guidance Manual comes in!

Building on established PCF methodologies, the manual will provide practical, industry-aligned guidance to support more consistent PCF reporting and data exchange across the label value chain.
