Gender Concerns International is a Dutch-based NGO supporting and promoting women's rights internationally, particularly in the MENA-region, Asia and Africa. GCI's core business is capacity building, lobbying and advocacy work. The organisation also facilitates training and support to civil society and women's networks, especially in fragile states, to improve the political, legal, social and econ

Preliminary report of our election observation mission in the Netherlands.

Last Friday morning the final election results were announced by
Mr. Wim Kuijken, The Chair of Electoral Council of the Netherlands.

Later that morning the Preliminary Statement GEOM NL 2025 was presented to Mr. Kuijken by the Mission Head and her team.

The 29 October 2025 Elections in the Netherlands marked a historic milestone under:

*A women-majority Electoral Council

*Delivering a remarkable increase in polling stations presided over by women and

*The highest ever number of elected women parliamentarians (43%)
