ISOCARP is delighted to announce that it will host the 62nd ISOCARP World Planning Congress (WPC62) with our co-host, the City of Wellington and partners such as the Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, Business Events Wellington and Tourism New Zealand Business Events, taking place from 27–30 April 2027 in Wellington, New Zealand.

ISOCARP warmly invites urban professionals, public officials, researchers, and development partners to join us in Wellington for an inspiring exchange of ideas, strategies, and experiences. Watch this space for more information.

🌍 ISOCARP at the Second Africa Urban Forum 2 (AUF2) – Nairobi, 8–10 April 2026

We are excited to announce that ISOCARP will be present at AUF2 in Nairobi, engaging as speakers, including in the High Level Panel on ‘Urban Planning and Infrastructure Development’, and connecting with members and partners from across Africa! 📌 About AUF2:
The Second Africa Urban Forum is a key platform convened by the African Union Commission and the Government of Kenya, bringing together policymakers, urban leaders, practitioners, and partners to advance sustainable urbanisation in Africa. Join the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP), the Commonwealth Women in Planning Network (CWIP) and the University of the Built Environment on 30th March 🌍, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, for a global panel discussion exploring how planning systems influence women’s rights, access to land and housing, and participation in decision-making.

This important conversation brings together experienced panellists who will share real-world case studies and practical insights on integrating gender equity into planning practice.

🌱From co-creating solutions with women and girls, to improving access to land, housing, education , infrastructure , and safe public spaces — and ensuring gender inclusion in climate action planning — this session will highlight actionable pathways toward more just, inclusive, and sustainable communities.

ISOCARP members are invited to join a small expert advisory team supporting an international partner selection competition for the new General Plan of Kyiv.

In collaboration with UN-Habitat and local partners, ISOCARP will support the process across all phases, from concept to final award.
