IPSF African Regional Office (IPSF AfRO) Official page of the International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation - African Region Office (AfRO) Chairperson - Mr. Moussa Fofana

IPSF represents more than 500,000 pharmacy students and recent graduates in over 100 countries worldwide. IPSF is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious volunteer organization. IPSF is the leading international advocacy organization of pharmacy students promoting improved public health through the provision of information, education, networking, and a range of publications and professional activities. The Federation has its secretariat located with the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in The Hague, The Netherlands. IPSF holds Official Relations with the World Health Organization (WHO), Operational Relations with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and Roster Consultative Status of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (UN ECOSOC). IPSF African Regional Office (AfRO) was established in the 54th IPSF World Congress held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania in August 2008 when its establishment was voted in as a way of tackling the importance of decentralizing IPSF work into regions. The African Regional Office is represented by 24 member organizations (MOs) in 23 countries of which fourteen are full members:

We are proud to announce that โ€œSafe Water, Safe Future: Writing Policy That Saves Livesโ€, a virtual summit organised by the IPSF Africa Regional Office in partnership with EcoClime Africa and in collaboration with the IPSF Global Pharmacy Education Team, has been officially recognised as a contribution to Advancing a Culture of Peace in Africa.

๐Ÿ… This recognition was granted within the framework of the Joint Initiative of UNESCOโ€™s Division for Priority Africa Coordination and the NGOโ€“UNESCO Liaison Committee, following the 19th International Forum of NGOs.

Through this partnership, we continue to demonstrate the power of youth-led advocacy, environmental action, policy engagement, and collective responsibility in addressing critical issues such as access to safe water and building a healthier, more sustainable, and peaceful future for Africa. ๐Ÿ’ง๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
