Each meeting has a central topic, and students are encouraged to send in their motions on this topic, in order to stimulate the debate and to seek resolve. During each LUnion, all attendees can vote on these motions. If a majority is reached, a motion will pass and will be brought before the College Council or another authority. This page will keep you updated on future events, the status of passe
d motions of past event, and other developments within LUnion. This page is meant to improve the transparency of LUnion. After all, LUnion is there for students, by students! The central topic of each meeting will be decided upon collectively through surveys. Once the central topic is chosen, students can send in motions about more specific topics they would like to discuss. All students are invited to join the events, and students attending LUnion will have the first vote in the discussed matters. However, not-attending students will still have a vote: after the event, a summary of the event will be published, after which a survey will be sent out which enables not-attending students to vote, but ONLY on the motions that passed. This will ensure the validity of the passed motions. However, your vote is stronger when attending the event! LUnion is there for all LUC students, and is led by LUC students.
