My grandfather could tell the time by watching the shadows of his sheep.
No watch. No need for one.
This carousel is a story about transhumance but also about art, meaning, and the choice to return to something essential when the world moves too fast.
Swipe through. It’s a short story. Worth two minutes.

For centuries, shepherds moved twice a year along the tratturi ancient grass roads crossing the Apennines, up to sixty meters wide, protected by law since Roman times. A knowledge held in the body, in the land, in the rhythm of seasons. Today, UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
And today, a new generation is choosing the mountain. Not out of nostalgia out of meaning.
This tension is exactly what our Open Call “Una montagna di… Pascoli” (A mountain of… Pastures) is built on: an invitation to respond through the language of contemporary art and illustration to what the land, the silence, and the movement still ask of us.
6 prizes · €6.000 · open to illustrators and graphic artists
