Localization is no longer just a trendy concept in the humanitarian aid, development, and peacebuilding sectors. It is a necessity, aimed at placing affected communities at the center of decisions that affect them. Yet, despite progress, many challenges remain: inflexible funding, differing interpretations, and reluctance to cede control.
