Want to stay in touch with all things Australian & New Zealand? Want a fun and easy way to make friends, join the ANZC. Check out membership on www.anzc.org.

Welcome to the Australian & New Zealand Club, The Netherlands (ANZC). We are a very active social club of people in The Netherlands who share a link to Australia and/or New Zealand (since 1968!)

We give newcomers support settling in, and welcome Aussies, Kiwis, their partners and also those who have lived for some time in Australia or New Zealand. Our members are temporary expats, "permanents", career-ists and their families. They're all age groups and demographics, living anywhere in The Netherlands. We are united by a desire to feel an ongoing connection to Australia and New Zealand. We socialise and network on a relaxed and fun basis, commemorating ANZAC Day and celebrating Christmas festivities, Australia Day and Waitangi Day and more! Our activities include meeting for coffee, pub nights, book and movie nights, exercise and sport get-togethers, BBQs & wine-tastings, and tours of Dutch monuments and buildings of cultural or historical significance. Members receive our quarterly magazine "The Antipodean" and regular e-newsletters, with helpful information and tips, reminders of home, invites to activities and upcoming events, and anecdotes and stories from members around the country. They even get discounts from some local businesses. Got a question? Get in touch today at [email protected]. We can't wait to meet you! Bank details - IBAN - NL07ABNA0483000876

Ambassador Frater was delighted to host the Australian and New Zealand Club - The Netherlands annual summer BBQ at her Residence this weekend. Great to catch up with the community, to share friendship and food, and of course, pavlova for dessert!

We had a wonderful time at our Afternoon Tea in September to celebrate our Honorary Members. The food was marvellous and the conversation flowed easily amongst friends - topped off with a spectacular Antipodean themed raffle prize. Be sure to keep an eye on the Events Calendar on our website for details of upcoming events: https://anzc.org/

Although the cold is settling in here in the Netherlands, we are still warmed by the memories of the lovely time had by all at this year's summer party. Better late than never to share photos of this wonderful afternoon spent amongst old and new friends, with fantastic food and company. Now to turn our minds to the Christmas party...see our separate post for details.
