On International Women’s Day – 8 March, I would like to share a reflection on something deeply rooted in many of our cultures: the way we understand love.

For generations, women have often been praised for their ability to care, to support and, above all, to sacrifice for others. But what happens when sacrifice becomes the measure of love?
In the article “When Sacrifice Was Mistaken for Love”, I reflect on how this narrative has shaped expectations placed on women, and why it may be time to rethink the relationship between care, reciprocity and self-respect.
Because love, in its healthiest form, should never require someone to disappear.

I invite you to read the article and share your reflections.

Over the last few months, I’ve heard the same statement repeated again and again:
“AI is going to take away many jobs in the future.”

But is that really the right question?
At the Coachability Foundation, we believe the impact of artificial intelligence on work cannot be reduced to job loss alone. AI is not a neutral technological force; it is a socio-technical process shaped by political choices, institutional arrangements, and economic interests. Its consequences, therefore, are not gender-neutral.

In this article, we analyse how AI intersects with gender inequality in labour markets, examining how algorithmic management, surveillance, and automation can reinforce existing hierarchies unless equity and accountability are embedded in governance from the outset. Drawing on research from the ILO, UNESCO, OECD, and feminist political economy, the article explores job quality, wages, unpaid care work, and digital inequalities, with particular attention to sectors where women are overrepresented and to contexts in the Global South.

Rather than focusing only on whether AI will “eliminate jobs,” the article asks deeper questions: Who bears the risks? Who gains access to new opportunities? And how can policy, social dialogue, and feminist governance frameworks steer AI towards a just transition that improves working conditions and expands women’s economic agency?

If you are interested in an evidence-based, gender-aware perspective on the future of work, I invite you to read the full article in the link of the bio

The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping labour markets worldwide, yet its implications for gender equality remain deeply contested. This essay offers a critical and intersectional analysis of AI as a socio-technical system embedded in existing structures of power, inequality...

Three competing visions of multilateralism — why this debate matters now
The global order is at a turning point.
The United States has announced the withdrawal from, or suspension of support for, more than 60 international agencies, many linked to the United Nations. This is not merely an administrative decision; it signals a deeper shift in how global cooperation, shared rules and collective responsibility are understood.
Inspired by the debate aired on Inside Story on Al Jazeera, this article analyses three competing visions of multilateralism:
multilateralism as an imperfect but necessary political infrastructure;

a unilateral approach centred on immediate national interest;

the perspective of the Global South, where weakening rules translate into lost negotiating power.

This is not an academic discussion. It has direct implications for how the international community addresses shared challenges such as conflict, inequality, climate change and global stability.
Read the full article to explore what is at stake when cooperation is weakened — and why defending and reforming multilateralism remains a strategic necessity rather than an idealistic choice.

Written out of curiosity — and concern for the world we are shaping.

The War of Interests and the Women of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

In the heart of Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo faces one of the world’s most enduring yet underreported humanitarian crises.
Beneath its soil lies 80% of the world’s coltan and 70% of its cobalt—minerals powering the technology we use every day. But this natural wealth has not brought prosperity; it has fuelled wars, corruption, and exploitation.

Over seven million people are displaced within the country, and another half a million have fled abroad. Each number represents shattered lives, lost land, and broken communities.
Congolese women, survivors of mass sexual violence and systemic exclusion, are also the pillars of resilience—cultivating the land, rebuilding villages, and leading grassroots peace efforts.

The DRC is not merely a humanitarian crisis; it is a war of global economic interests where international greed and institutional fragility collide. Understanding this is not just geopolitics—it is a moral imperative.

CALL TO ACTION 2025
Help Empower Women through Clean Water Access in Tharaka Nithi County

Every day, women in Tharaka Nithi County walk for hours under the sun just to collect water — often unsafe, always scarce. Time that could be spent learning, working, or leading is lost in the search for a basic need.

At the Coachability Foundation, we believe clean water means freedom, dignity, and opportunity. Our new article shares how sustainable water projects are transforming lives — and how your support can be part of that change.

What if architecture could expose the truth instead of just building walls?

In a time when memory is manipulated and truth is often buried, Forensic Architecture is reshaping how we understand space — not just as something to build, but something to reveal.

This compelling piece explores the groundbreaking work of Eyal Weizman and his team at Goldsmiths, University of London — a collective that uses architecture as a tool for justice, memory and human rights.
From the invisible refugee routes in the Mediterranean to the landscapes of colonial violence in Namibia, they investigate what the world prefers to forget turning silence into testimony, and absence into presence.
“It’s not about constructing, but reconstructing. Not about projecting, but revealing.”
I highly recommend reading this insightful article — available in English and Spanish and reflecting on how architecture can be an ethical act in today’s world.
