The SHRM is a combination of the respected journal Security and Human Rights (founded in 1990 and formerly known as Helsinki Monitor) and the former blog which was attached to the journal. The SHRM is administered under the auspices of the Netherlands Helsinki Committee (NHC), thanks to the generous support of donors. Contents

SHRM includes several components. These include policy (predominantly opinion and analysis), news, and interviews. Furthermore, readers will also find a selection of open-access, peer-reviewed articles, published by the acclaimed publisher Brill/Nijhoff. Scope/Topics

The 31st OSCE Ministerial Council opened in Malta last week, set against the backdrop of Russia’s war against Ukraine. Ministers discussed the OSCE’s relevance in times of intensifying geopolitical conflicts, while the OSCE continues to face internal challenges.

Can the organisation resolve these to uphold its mission of cooperative security?
