The Netherlands India (NIA) dates back to 1951. During the past half century its history, character and composition have changed considerably. The association was created by a group of Dutch inidividuals, mostly academics, interested in the rich and diverse historical, cultural, social, religious, philosophical and spiritual aspects of India.

As we celebrate 80 Years of India’s Independence 🇮🇳 and 75 Years of the Netherlands India Association 🇳🇱, we are delighted to welcome three talented Odissi dancers who will bring the grace, spirituality, and timeless beauty of this classical Indian dance form to the NIA stage.

🌸 Sita Kadam-Zope
Disciple of Guru Jhelum Paranjape and Grand Disciple of Padma Vibhushan Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra. She is also the founder of the Spiritual Institute of Traditional Arts (SITA).

🌸 Anika Mishra
Disciple of Guru Kavita Mishra, Guru Baishali Bhuniya and Guru Aloka Kanungo.

🌸 Ayushi Pradhan
Disciple of Guru Subhash Chandra Swain.

💧 Through movement, rhythm and expression, their performance will beautifully connect with our theme:
