🌟 Jongerenstem krijgt structurele plek in gesprek met bestuur Bonaire 🌟

Op Bonaire is het Jongerenadvies voor de BES-eilanden twee weken geleden ook overhandigd aan gedeputeerde Timoteo Silberie, van het Openbaar Lichaam Bonaire. 💬👥 Het advies is gebaseerd op de ervaringen, ideeën en aanbevelingen van jongeren uit Bonaire, Saba en Sint Eustatius.

Mooi nieuws: er is afgesproken dat jongeren een vaste plek krijgen in het gesprek met het bestuur. Want over jongeren praten is belangrijk, maar mét jongeren praten is nog belangrijker! 🙌✨

Dank aan alle jongeren die hun stem hebben laten horen en in het bijzonder aan Ibrahim Valentijn voor zijn betrokkenheid en inzet. 👏💙

🌟 Youth Voices Gain a Structural Place in Discussions with Bonaire’s Government 🌟

The Youth Advice Report for the BES islands has been presented to Deputy Commissioner Timoteo Silberie on Bonaire, two weeks ago. 💬👥 The report is based on the experiences, ideas, and recommendations shared by young people from Bonaire, Saba, and St. Eustatius.

Great news: it was agreed that young people will have a permanent place in the dialogue with the government. Because talking about young people is important, but talking with young people is even more important. 🙌✨

A big thank you to all the young people who shared their voices, and especially to Ibrahim Valentijn for his commitment, dedication, and willingness to represent youth perspectives. 👏💙

🌟 This week we reached an important milestone with the presentation of the UNICEF Youth Advice 2026 for the BES Islands!

Young people from Saba, St. Eustatius and Bonaire raised their voices and shared their priorities for the future. 💙👏 Thank you to all the children and young people who contributed to this important advice.

Samen bouwen aan een kindvriendelijk Bonaire 🌴✨
We zijn op Bonaire gestart met het Child Friendly Cities Initiative! 🎉
Tijdens een interactieve werksessie brachten we samen met 15 organisaties uit de jeugdketen in kaart waar Bonaire nu staat op het gebied van kindvriendelijk beleid 🤝📍
Kinderrechten vormen de basis 🌱
Ze geven kinderen de ruimte om gezond en veilig op te groeien. Ouders en verzorgers spelen hierin de belangrijkste rol 💛 en de overheid ondersteunt en faciliteert waar nodig 🏡
Een mooie stap vooruit richting een Bonaire waar elk kind zich gezien en gesteund voelt ✨

Building a child-friendly Bonaire together 🌴✨
We’ve started the Child Friendly Cities Initiative on Bonaire! 🎉
During an interactive workshop, we joined forces with 15 organizations from the youth sector to assess where Bonaire currently stands in terms of child-friendly policies 🤝📍
Children’s rights form the foundation 🌱
They create the conditions for children to grow up healthy and safe. Parents and caregivers play the most important role 💛, while the government supports and facilitates where needed 🏡
A great first step towards a Bonaire where every child feels seen and supported ✨

We had an inspiring visit to Aruba and are so proud of the amazing work by Bureau Traimerdia Aruba en CEDE ARUBA WAW mobile💙 on their TeamUp journey. With support from management next steps are being taken!

All facilitators trained in October last year have now started leading sessions themselves, with guidance from two dedicated mentors🙌 What a beautiful step forward!

Your commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces for children truly makes a difference💥
Keep up the fantastic work - we see you, we appreciate you, and we are cheering you on every step of the way!👏🍿

We hebben een inspirerend bezoek aan Aruba gebracht en zijn enorm trots op het fantastische werk van Bureau Traimerdia Aruba en CEDE ARUBA WAW mobile💙 tijdens hun TeamUp-traject. Met de steun van het management worden de volgende stappen gezet!

Alle begeleiders die in oktober vorig jaar zijn opgeleid, zijn nu zelf sessies gaan leiden, onder begeleiding van twee toegewijde mentoren🙌 Wat een prachtige stap voorwaarts!

Jullie inzet om veilige en ondersteunende omgevingen voor kinderen te creëren, maakt echt een verschil💥
