Last week marked the end of the final of the third edition of the Calliope Prize: The Hague University's Public Speaking Contest. It was a tough fight! Congratulations to the winners:
1. Ellie Murray-Playfair
2. Altamash Khalil
3. Marsi Malasi

Altamash Khalil won the public's heart and won the Public's Special Prize with their vote!

Congratulations Dirk Bloem and Alexandra Noroc for delivering vibrant speeches during this exceptional final. The lecturers who constituted the jury did not have it easy in giving their judgment.

The topic for the FINAL of the Calliope Prize 2022 is 'We should hold people throughout history to the same moral standards we have today’. Speakers will be assigned either an affirmative or negative position and have to argue this position about this topic. ✨

Speeches are limited to 10 minutes per speaker.

After the final, the prizes of first, second, and third place as well as the ‘Public’s Special Prize’ will be awarded. This special prize is determined by audience voting so do not miss this opportunity. 😊
