"Inside The Same' zet zich in voor kinderen met Albinisme in Tanzania. Welkom op de Facebook pagina van InsideTheSame.

De stichting zet zich in voor kinderen met Albinisme in Tanzania. In de media is veel te lezen over kinderen met Albinisme (KMA) in Afrika. Met name in Tanzania is de situatie voor deze kinderen alarmerend. De kinderen worden voor hun eigen veiligheid achtergelaten in kampen waar ze veilig zouden moeten zijn en afgesloten worden voor de buitenwereld. Deze kampen waren in eerste instantie opgezet als noodoplossing, maar hebben inmiddels een lange termijn karakter gekregen. Er is in sommige gevallen wel eens onderwijs, maar in de vakanties gaan de kampen dicht en worden de kinderen alsnog aan hun lot overgelaten. Andere kampen verbieden contact met ouders of familie en de kinderen leven hier dan totdat ze volwassen zijn. HET DOEL VAN ONZE STICHTING IS OM HET WELZIJN VAN DE KINDEREN MET ALBINISME TE BEVORDEREN.

Today is 👁️

To mark the day, we’re looking ahead to our upcoming Vision Event in Blantyre, Malawi, where we’ll be working to make quality eye care more accessible to persons with albinism.

From 20–23 October, Standing Voice, in partnership with the Ministry Of Health - Malawi
and OneSight, providing free eye examinations and vision support at HHI Multipurpose Hall for persons with albinism aged 7 and over.

The Vision Event forms part of our European Commission co-funded Titukulane (Empowerment) programme.

For persons with albinism, visual impairment can have a profound impact on education, employment and everyday life. Access to appropriate eye care and assistive devices can be life-changing.

This , we’re proud to be working with our partners to help bring clearer vision and greater opportunity within reach.

Today, on International Albinism Awareness Day, we stand together to celebrate inclusion, dignity, and equal opportunities for persons with albinism.

Every person deserves to live free from discrimination, access healthcare and education, and be seen for their talents—not their differences.

Together, we can help create a world where people with albinism are safe, valued, and empowered.
