Stichting Parvati - Parvati Foundation

We provide scholarships to 16 children in Tamil Nadu, India. We pay their school fees; transport, uniforms and books. The yearly fee is € 240.-.

Join us in our mission to make the world a better place for everyone ❤️🪷 The main goal of Stichting Parvati is to provide sponsorships to the less fortunate children in India. These sponsorships make it possible for them to go to a (Private) school in their neighborhood. We link these children to someone from The Netherlands, so they can be helped with their school fees and other important stuff.

Whenever they go to a Private school, the future prospects of the child in today’s job market could be much more promising than if they would have stayed in a government school. We work with one local project leader who has a lot of knowledge and experience to implement such an important project and our organization has grown to 15 children in 2022. However, a one-time donation for any kind of specific project is always welcome. Dear distinguished sponsors, friends, and supporters of Stichting Parvati, the current academic schedule at Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Koothavakkam indicates that exams will wrap up by April 16, 2026. Subsequently, the children will embark on a 45-day summer vacation. We are thankful for the support and trust you have placed in us. Dear Jamilah and beloved Sponsors and all the well-wishers of Stichting Parvati, for the 2025-2026 academic year in Tamilnadu, the Annual Examinations (final exams) for school students are scheduled for March and April 2026.

Classes 1 to 9: The annual Examinations are scheduled to begin on April 1st, 2026, and conclude on April 16th, 2026.

10th Class students began their final examinations on March 11, 2026, and will conclude on April 6th, 2026.
11th class students wrote their final exams, which started on March 3rd and concluded on March 27th, 2026.
12th class: The Higher Secondary Examinations began on March 2nd and concluded on March 26th, 2026.

Final working day: The academic year is scheduled to end on April 24th, 2026, with summer vacations beginning shortly after.
On behalf of our students, we offer our gratitude to all our valued Sponsors and all the friends who keep encouraging us in our endeavors in Educational Assistance. With your great help, we would like to cover more children in the coming academic year. We will offer more updates on our children in the coming months. Once again, big thanks to you all.

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS AT ST. JOSEPH'S PRIMARY SCHOOL, KOOTHAVAKKAM. The annual day celebrations for the 2025-2026 academic year were a grand success, highlighting student talent and academic achievement. Featuring vibrant cultural performances, a comprehensive Annual Report, and a prestigious award ceremony, the Annual Day was celebrated on 21-03-2026 in the school's open-air auditorium, attended by parents, faculty, and honored guests. The celebrations started with a prayer song and a warm welcome speech by the Headmistress, Sr. Sophia.
ANNUAL REPORT HIGHLIGHTS: The Headmistress presented the 2025-2026 Report, highlighting key achievements in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities, as well as milestones in skill development and yoga.
CULTURAL PROGRAM: Students from various grades captivated the audience with diverse performances, including classical and modern dances.
AWARD CEREMONY: Deserving students were recognized and rewarded for excellence in academics, sports, and arts, boosting their confidence and encouraging them to strive higher.
CONCLUSION & VOTE OF THANKS: The event concluded with an inspiring speech from the Chief Guest, followed by the National Anthem.

Dear Sponsors and friends of ' Stichting Parvati ' I would like to present you about the Key School Events and Holidays in January 2026.
JANUARY 1 Thursday New Year ( School Closed)
JANUARY 14 - 17 Harvest Festival, especially in Tamil Nadu, the Festival is called, ' Pongal, Bhogi, mattu Pongal and farmers Day.
JANUARY 24, International Fay of Education and National Girl Child Day.
JANUARY 26 Monday, Republic Day, India celebrates it's Republic Day.
Schools in Tamil Nadu are closed fro. JANUARY 14 - 17th for the Pongal - Farmers Festivals.

FEBRUARY 2026,in Schools is primarily marked by Intense Academic Activity, including classes 10 & 12 board exams, practicals and final revisions. Unlike December and January which includes extended winter vacations.
February usually follows a full academic schedule, with very few holidays notified to Schools.

Academic focus:
Practical exams and preparations and revision sessions for classes 10 & 12 are the main focus.
Focus on finalizing the curriculum fir the academic sessions.
We still celebrate on 20th of February, ' World Day of Social Justice. And on February 28th - National Science Day.
