Artuition, the people behind it and how it truly started
It all started with an usual art-Wednesday that Karen and Corine used to have. They used to hang out, have fun and intuitively create on their art-day. Visiting art exhibition and museums also became part of their highly-addictive-must-do. Even though they have been busy for over two years already they would consider the beginning of 2012
as the first step into making Artuition happen. They threw their first art party together called ‘Our Artuition’. It wasn’t until than that they discovered that this could actually work. They were both amazed by their own creations and how well they managed to work together having no barriers whatsoever and by leaving each other completely free. The good thing is that they both felt extremely comfortable doing it, relying solely on their intuition. This is exactly where the name Artuition derives from. Corine Waij: a young artist with passion for visual art. She specializes in drawing with pastels. Inspired mainly from the human body and nature. This is also reflected in her work. Corine has a good dose of creativity and a keen eye for details. With her artistic qualities and hands-on mentality she can meet any challenge. Give her a load of “nothing” and she will transform this beautifully. Karen Evers: passionate about art in every sense of the word. This hedonistic moonchild brings authentic emotions through photography. Besides photography she enjoys drawing and writing. Keen traveller, people person ……………... Inspired by people like Salvador Dali, Annie Leibovitz and Frida Kahlo. Even though they have their own specific style and interest they have to remark that sometimes they do create artworks that has no direct correlation with their primary field. Art is indefinable and therefore they love to stay limitless and let the moment take them to whatever it should be.
