Music Matters Music Matters brengt meer muziek in Rotterdam. www.musicmatters.nu Uit deze ontmoetingen ontstaan bijzondere cross-overs en nieuwe muzikale samenwerkingen.

Met verschillende (gratis) projecten voor kinderen, jongeren en volwassenen laten we elk talent schitteren én zorgen we ervoor dat mensen elkaar ontmoeten, ongeacht hun culturele achtergrond of leeftijd.

OFF-GRID: Vocal Liberation with Neda Boin — 10th of September

On the 10th of September, we invite women and non-binary people in music to join Vocal Liberation,
an evening of voice and embodiment with Neda Boin.

Where the last edition was about letting go, this one is about moving forward. About free, intuitive
expression as we close the festival season and return to your present.

This is not about performance or technique. No singing experience is required! It is about presence, expression, and allowing the voice
to move without judgment.

Through breath, movement and sound, we create space for intuitive, free expression. Vocal Liberation is a moment to look ahead, grounded in where you are right now.

This workshop is designed as a small group experience, which means capacity is limited.

STAGIAIR GEZOCHT! 📸

Music Matters zoekt een stagiair voor Marketing & Community. Als marketing stagiair bij Music Matters doe je all-round marketing ervaring op, blijf je in-the-know van het Rotterdamse muziekleven en denk je actief mee over hoe gevestigde en opkomende Rotterdamse artiesten een rol kunnen spelen in onze missie. Je ondersteunt het marketing kernteam (bestaande uit een marketeer en content creator/ designer) en de programmamakers bij de communicatie rondom programma’s en de overall positionering van Music Matters.

Praktisch
Start: 1 september 2026
Duur: in overleg — bij voorkeur 3 tot 6 maanden 
Dagen per week: in overleg — idealiter 4 dagen per week
Flexibele uren: soms vragen we om jouw aanwezigheid tijdens producties in avonduren en weekenden
Locatie: Music Matters @ De Kroon in Rotterdam West
Vergoeding: € 400 per maand o.b.v. 4 dagen per week (32u) 
Begeleiding: Thomas Eekhof (Marcom Manager) 

Hoe meld je je aan?
Stuur ons een korte motivatie (max 1 A4 of een video van 1-2 minuten — kies wat bij je past), je CV en eventueel een paar voorbeelden van wat je hebt gemaakt: writing samples, social posts, projecten waar je trots op bent.

Maya InnerForce is an multidimensional artist, voice facilitator and sound practitioner whose work explores the connection between voice, body and creative expression.

Rooted in her ancestral lineage, she bridges worlds through voice, nature and spirit, weaving together somatic voice and body practices, music, ceremonial plant traditions, ritual practices and intuitive sound, guiding people back into presence and authentic expression.

Within this space, people reconnect with their inner force — the wisdom, creativity and life energy that live within each of us — remembering their voice and body as a source of connection, innocence and inner freedom.
