Diaspora Ladies for Sierra Leone (DL4SL) was formed a little over a year ago by a group of Sierra Leonean ladies living in Holland and Belgium. It is presently registered in Holland.
Our organization (DL4SL) is composed of a group of dynamic Sierra Leonean women who have come together to address the plight of the elderly in our community. Seeing that our target group is a group that has had little advocacy in our country and virtually none in the international community, has motivated us to try to change this situation.
Our aim is, in the foreseeable future, to contribute to the welfare of deprived elderly people (senior citizens) in Sierra Leone and to address their plight. As we expand our activities, we will add other related initiatives as and when ideas are made available.
