🎉 We, the DANP team, join the celebration today for Independence Day.

📊 Our Filipino people are happy and proud of our Independence Day, celebrating our freedom from the Spanish and United States colonization in our history. Unfortunately, we still face daily struggles because the government does not always handle problems well or improve the system. However, we stand strong together and must work through our votes in the elections to ensure the system improves, rather than focusing on personal interests.

🙂 DANP witnesses many problems in our country. We will continue to hold events focused on advocacy, networking, and partnerships that are effective with the government. It is up to all of us to decide and use our vote to choose leaders who truly serve the Filipino people. Please keep updated with our announcements.

🇵🇭 Happy Independence Day!

Attention Deaf Community and a hearing allies!

The Philippine Federation of the Deaf (PFD) is calling for the use of correct, rights-based terminology regarding the House of Representatives’ discussion on the substitute bill for House Bill No. 3671. This information is shared in collaboration with the Quezon City Association of the Deaf (QCAD).

The Deaf Accessibility Network of the Philippines (DANP) strongly supports PFD and QCAD in raising these important concerns. Ensuring proper language and representation is vital for the Deaf community as the law are applied to our daily lives.

The Deaf community and Deaf organizations must always be consulted as the rightful representatives of the Filipino Deaf. Furthermore, Filipino Sign Language (FSL) interpreters must be provided to ensure fully accessible communication.

is a fundamental principle of our Filipino Deaf community.

Through our advocacy networks, we continue to monitor and participate in efforts to advance this bill through the Philippine government.

🎉 We, the DANP team, join the celebration today for International Women’s Day.

🚺 Many women face struggles in their lives, including experiences with discrimination and other challenges. They have the right to advocate for their identity and to stand strong against the realities they face. Today, our guest signer will provide an essential guide for all Deaf women in our webinar, making a significant impact by helping them realize their rights and what they can achieve.

😊 DANP always supports the women who volunteer with our team. Supporting them is a key part of human rights. Most of our volunteers are Deaf women who are committed to providing their service to ensure access to information.
