A place of rest, connection, and support for seafarers in the Port of Rotterdam June 2016 we opened. We also sell telephonecards.

We have our own pick-up service from monday till friday from 3 pm till 9.30pm

The visitors can use our computers, the free wifi, visit the beautiful village of Oostvoorne or take a drink at the bar.

🎊 Vlaai, partypoppers, cadeautjes en vooral veel gezelligheid met onze vrijwilligers en zeevarenden!

💐 A lovely surprise at The Bridge!

Every day brings special moments at The Bridge! ❤️

Egyptian captain Masafa Mahmoul from the UNAYZAH EXPRESS, berthed at APM Terminals, enjoyed his visit to The Bridge so much that he surprised our volunteer Henriëtte with a beautiful bouquet of flowers! 💐

Such a sweet and thoughtful gesture! It's moments like these that make The Bridge such a special place.

🍂 Reunited after 16 years! 💙
Last week, we witnessed a very special reunion at The Bridge.
Mr Wang Chao, a Chinese crew member from the COSCO SHIPPING LIBRA, berthed at Euromax, was reunited with his old school friend Mr Wang Wen after 16 years apart. Mr Wang Wen drove all the way from Frankfurt to meet his friend here in the Netherlands.
What a wonderful moment to see two old friends together again after so many years! ❤️
Their reunion was made even more special as it coincided with the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese celebration of togetherness, family and friendship.
And of course, a reunion like this deserves a good meal! The two friends headed off to Centraal in Oostvoorne to enjoy dinner together and catch up on 16 years of stories.

🎉⚓ 10 years of ISC The Bridge! 💙

What a wonderful few days we’ve had celebrating 10 years of The Bridge! Three days, three different groups connected to The Bridge. On Thursday we celebrated with our partners and relations, on Friday evening with our volunteers and former volunteers, and on Saturday we opened our doors to the local community.

But in the end, this anniversary is about the people at the heart of everything we do: the seafarers. And this photo says it all. 💙

For 10 years, The Bridge has been a place where seafarers can step ashore, relax, meet people, stay in touch with home and simply enjoy some time away from life on board. A place where we want every seafarer to feel welcome, appreciated and seen.

A huge thank you to everyone who celebrated with us and to all the volunteers, partners, supporters and friends who have been part of our journey over the past 10 years. Here’s to the years ahead!

🕯️ A quiet moment ashore

During their shore leave, some of the crew members of the SACHI decided to do something a little different. They visited our local church here in Oostvoorne.

A chance to step away from life on board for a while, enjoy the peace and quiet, and light a candle. 🕯️

For seafarers who spend so much time away from home and their loved ones, sometimes it’s these simple moments that mean a lot.

We’re glad that a visit ashore can offer not only shopping and relaxation, but also a little time to slow down and reflect. 💙⚓

🛒 Shopping time in Oostvoorne!

The crew of the ARDBEG enjoyed some well-deserved time ashore and visited PLUS Oostvoorne to stock up on groceries. And as you can see, they made good use of their shopping trip! 😊

For seafarers, being able to go ashore, do some shopping and take care of everyday things is an important part of their time in port. At The Bridge, we are happy to help make that possible.

Today, the crew of the ARKLOW WILLOW enjoyed some well-deserved time ashore at The Bridge. And what better way to relax than with some live guitar and singing from one of their fellow seafarers? 🎶😊

Good music, good company and simply enjoying the moment together. This is what The Bridge is all about. 💙
