On Wednesday, June 3, just before the finissage of the 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘! exhibition, POST is organizing an in-depth evening event titled ECHO.

During this evening, artist , artist ._fernandes , and curator ( ) will share their perspectives on the exhibition. Each will spend twenty minutes sharing their thoughts on play and free time, thereby offering a mosaic of perspectives. This event is moderated by curator

How do children claim spaces through play? How is leisure time linked to social inequality? How do we experience individual and collective freedom?

Sneak peek!
For the past few weeks, we’ve been transforming POST NIJMEGEN for Claiming the City: A Squatters’ Allegory: a new solo exhibition by Mirka Farabegoli. Expect archive material, cyanotypes, and a big colourful mural taking over the space.

Join us tomorrow from 19:30 onwards for the public opening and be among the first to experience the exhibition. During a special performance, theatre maker Anna Podt will take us into the world of the women’s house in Amsterdam in the 1970s and the radical lesbian-feminist movements that emerged there.

Afterwards, we’ll join the ‘Nijmeegse Heksennacht’ protest march for safer streets for everyone. From POST, we’ll walk together to the march with our own signs, extending the act of claiming buildings to claiming public space. Protest signs can be made at POST from 19:30 onwards.

Artist brings together personal experiences of communal living, memories from the squatters’ movement, and archival material on housing rights in the exhibition 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 𝗔 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆. She interweaves everyday life with broader social structures using metaphor and symbolism.

Taking inspiration from the squatter history of , the exhibition reflects on housing not simply as shelter, but as a fundamental right.

During the opening night, these ideas move beyond the exhibition space and into the streets through participating in the Nijmeegse Heksennacht .

From the opening at POST - NIJMEGEN , we will walk with all attendees towardS the Heksennacht protest march and join it with our signs. These protest signs can be made at POST starting at 7:30 PM.

During the opening of 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 𝗔 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 on Friday, 29th of May, theater maker Anna Podt takes us into the world of the women’s house in Amsterdam in the 1970s and all the radical lesbian-feminist movements that established themselves there.

Starting from the histories of squatting and collective living as a theme central to the exhibition, Anna’s performance reflects on the urgency of physical gathering today. Drawing inspiration from the work of Mirka Farabegoli , Anna weaves a narrative about the women’s house, where activism and feminism are reclaiming a physical space.

Following the performance, this will take concrete form in a protest march to the Heksennacht: a protest march reclaiming the streets as spaces of safety, visibility and collective power.

From the opening at POST, we will walk with all attendees toward the Heksennacht protest march and join it with our own signs and voices. These protest signs can be made at POST starting at 7:30 PM.

POST is tijdens Hemelvaart en Pinksteren gewoon open op onze reguliere openingsdagen! Donderdag - zondag 12:00-17:00

In POST - ARNHEM is momenteel de tentoonstelling PLAYTIME! te zien waar je zelf kan komen bouwen.

POST - NIJMEGEN is dicht wegens het ombouwen van de ruimte voor de nieuwe tentoonstelling. Deze locatie opent weer op 29 mei.
