Amnesty Studentgroup Nijmegen is part of Amnesty International. We're mainly comprised of students from Radboud University, but also from the HAN University of Applied Sciences. Our activities can be enjoyed by all, but are geared towards and crafted for students and student life.

Join us for an Iran themed Justice Dinner!

💛🕯️On friday 13 february we are organising Amnesty's Justice Dinner! We are going to cook Iranian food and have a cozy dinner with like-minded young people.
💛We are offering *Conversation starters* to talk with each other about the human rights situation in Iran and your experience with Amnesty and human rights as a young person.
💛And an *information folder* about the human rights situation in Iran and the story of two Iranian women: Pakshan and Sharifeh for whom you can take action.
Amnesty Internationall has a petition for both of them and a general petition against the terrible violence against protesters in Iran at the moment.

Hey everyone just a reminder: Our next Write for Rights is tomorrow on December 17th between 12.30 and 15.00 in EOS N 01.760! 💛🕯
Here you’ll be able to write letters to different human rights activists who have been unlawfully imprisoned or whose rights are currently being taken away. The letters will be sent to these human rights activists to encourage them to keep fighting and put pressure on the governments and organizations that have imprisoned them.

This is a great opportunity to have some impact!💛 You’re allowed to come in and go as you please, and we hope to write as many letters as possible! We'll also have some drinks and snacks there!

March 25 at 19:30 we’re watching together an award-winning documentary in lovely 📍Wunderkammer Cafe

The documentary shows how digital surveillance in China controls people through fear and obedience. It follows brave citizens, lawyers, and journalists who resist constant monitoring and fight for their rights 🕯️

It is December, which means Sinterklaas, Christmas, New Year, aaand the biggest and greatest of all – Write for Rights!😊

On December 12, you could write a letter ✍️ to one of the political prisoners, wrongly accused or arrested, to make the world a better place and keep the flame of hope burning 🕯️ for them and all the other people in the world. You can join at any time of the given period and stay for any time you want. There will be live music, tea and coffee, lots of writing and tired wrists. We hope to see you all there 💛
