A special recognition for Sparrow.
Today, we were honored to receive an official commendation from the Philippine Embassy in The Hague, signed by H.E. Ambassador J. Eduardo Malaya.
In the commendation, the Embassy recognizes our work with children and young people in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. It highlights, among other things, the opening of our second Study House in Camansihan, our medical missions, our programs on the rights and protection of women and children, and our cooperation with the Philippine Government's Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
We receive this recognition with gratitude, because it reflects the dedication of our whole team, and especially our colleagues in the Philippines, who work every day alongside the children and families we serve. We are also deeply thankful to our local partners, our government partners, and our donors and supporters in the Netherlands who have stood with us for many years.
Good education should not depend on the circumstances a child is born into. That is why we remain committed to walking alongside children and families as they build their future.
We are sincerely grateful to the Philippine Embassy in The Netherlands.
