https://linktr.ee/refugee.project.maastricht The Refugee Project Maastricht is a local organisation that is dedicated to bringing refugees, students and locals together. We are here to get to know other each other, build relationships and create intercultural bridges. Our activities have everything you are looking for: food, music, sports, language tutoring, new people, you name it.

So join and make friends across cultures! Let's make this world a little better and a little happier, one day at a time! Refugee Project Maastricht was called to life at the beginning of 2015 with the goal of building bridges. Between the new arriving people from all around the world, from the war-threatened countries, and the students also from all around the world. Our aim is to connect students from the city of Maastricht with the asylum seekers on a level where they can meet, connect, become friends and get to know the structures, habits and belief systems of each other. We try to avoid the traditional term of 'help' which, we believe creates social gaps and labeling. We opt for an approach aimed at building mutual understanding, mutual solidarity and a sharing of our cultures. The project organises events and meetings for big or small groups. It provides personal opportunities to find ways to reach each other and to move both of the groups, the asylum seekers and the students, outside their comfort zones and challenges on a personal level. King’s Day Bake Sale 🧡👑

What a day at the Stadspark with RPM’s Women’s Café and Mondiaal 🤍

Thank you to everyone who was part of this year’s King’s Day, whether you baked, sold food, helped set up tables, carried supplies, took photos, collected signatures, cleaned up, or even spent the night in the cold to save us a good spot. 🧡 You all helped make this day so special!

Throughout the day, we shared food, conversations, lots of laughter, and created such a warm atmosphere together.☀️

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and supported us, we raised almost €570 for upcoming RPM events and activities 🤩🥐🍪

We’re so grateful for this community and already looking forward to next year 🧡
