About GEW Maastricht...

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch start-ups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. It takes place every year in the third week of November; thousands of events and competitions worldwide in over 170 countries where millions of people gather and be inspired to engage in entrepreneurial activities.

GEW Maastricht is the flagship GEW for the city of Maastricht and Limburg region. In this one week, all players along the entrepreneurial spectrum have a platform where they can connect and collaborate, from students and start-ups to organisations and companies. Students will have the opportunity to explore and learn about the entrepreneurial community within the region, to participate in workshops by professionals and business coaches, and to get inspired through talks of world-class speakers from different parts of the world.

The location of Maastricht together with the presence of many local and international entrepreneurs makes it an ideal place for students and other young people to explore their entrepreneurial abilities. Our mission is simple: to inspire and empower students from all backgrounds through a variety of activities that will help them discover their potential as self-starters and innovators, and to connect them with start-ups in the region.
