In tonight's meeting, our Toastmaster of the Evening, Dani, encouraged us to embrace alternative perspectives 🧐

During the first half of the evening, we listened to the speeches

> Annika gave her ice breaker (congratulations 🥳), discussing how she has grown by living alone and learning to budget 🧊

> Ivo introduced us to his two mentors, and explained how these idols have impacted his life 🧠

> Rick stepped outside his comfort zone and delivered a more serious speech on food and war 🍽️

Throughout the meeting, Dani shared ways for us to integrate the theme of the evening into our speeches: whether that is watching movies or stepping into others' shoes 👣

Our Table Topics Master, Rob, embraced this idea, presenting us with topics ranging from imagining a life without pants to seeing another culture's point of view 🍚

As a result, all speeches were incredibly creative and ~zany~

Finally, a huge congratulations to... 🎉
> Best Speaker: Ivo
> Best Evaluator: Ann Marie
> Best Table Topic: Marisol

We look forward to seeing you at our Club Contest on 12 February! 😍

Wednesday's Toasties were definitely not inept... and that is the (in)convenient truth! 🤫

Rob was our Toastmaster of the Evening, and he did a great job in facilitating a warm atmosphere, which our 5 guests certainly appreciated

Speeches of the night:
> Franceska - leadership styles
> Krisztina - electric vehicles
> Ann Marie - gut microbiome

Thank you to Dani, Philip, and Francesco for providing our speakers with invaluable feedback!

The meeting continued with Ivo's Table Topics. Volunteers were asked to pick a number between 1 and 10 and look at the corresponding bizarre invention on Ivo's phone screen. Topics ranged from cooling chopsticks to cold shower shields!

Congratulations to 🎉
Best Speaker - Ann Marie
Best Evaluator (Tie!) - Philip & Francesco
Best Table Topic - Lucien (our seasoned TM guest from Venlo!)

Thank you to all Toasties for joining! We look forward to seeing you next time, on 27 November.

There was no hurkle durkling from our dedicated members during Wednesday's meeting!

Our Toastmaster of the Evening, Philip Slangen, remained by our side throughout the evening with the theme... "I'll be there"

The night first began with the speeches

> Marisol raised awareness by telling us about her "b struggle"

> Dani gave a speech about the birds and the bees (well, not really what you think)...

> Krisztina gave her icebreaker speech where she shared the 4Cs about her... childhood, cars, career and community

Our Table Topics Master, Marisol, got us thinking about the future. We are very excited that all our club members will be receiving our flying Fiat 500s very soon

Thank you all for joining and see you in the next meeting!

Wednesday's meeting remained short and sweet, so our members could enjoy the Euro Semifinals game: Netherlands vs England ⚽️

Cas Hariri, our new Club President, took on the role of TME and guided us through the evening ✨

> Congratulations to Ilona Ruitenberg and Anna for earning the distinction of Best Speaker!
> Congratulations to Dani Fenning MBE for being Best Evaluator!

We hope to see you next time!

A melodic evening left our ears feeling very happy 🎼

Dani supported us throughout the meeting as the Toastmaster of the Evening 🙌🏻

First, began the speeches
> Renee left us wondering where Funs is - how is he doing?
> Dani gave us a sneak peak of her autobiography, and laid out the case of why she's not a spy...
> Rick's humor-filled speech left us wondering whether or not we should stay home this summer

Later in the evening, Rick took on the role of Table Topics Master. He led us through some short speeches that included talks about food and what to eat (or avoid) during these summer holidays! 🍏🫛🥦🥬🫑🥒🥑

Congratulations to Ivo for winning best Evaluator and Best Table Topic. Congratulations to Dani for securing the spot of Best Speech!

We would also like to thank our 6 (yes, 6!) guests for attending the meeting. We look forward to seeing you again 👀

Until next time, make sure you listen to some music! Your soul needs it 🎶

This Wednesday, our Toastmaster of the Evening, Anízia Monteiro Jesus, led us through a night of nutrition knowledge!

Our meeting took place at a different venue, but the cozy atmosphere was still present ☺️

The evening started with speeches by Ilona and Francesco. Francesco won over the audience, being awarded the "Best Speech" for his Ice Breaker 🎉

Anizia made sure to prepare some activities related to nutrition, and her quiz left us all curious to learn more about food and plants

The baton was passed to Franceska Davidhi, the Table Topics Master, who chose the theme of "Elements" including water, earth, air, and fire. These topics produced some memorable speeches!💧🌎💨🔥

A huge thank you to multiple guests that showed up in the meeting. We hope you enjoyed it and we look forward to seeing you again

A message to everyone: don't be a "chicken" and come join us in our next meeting! 🐓

Today we maintained the tradition of holding a meeting on the second Wednesday of the month!

Ann Marie gave a shot at Toastmaster of the Evening for the second time in her Toastmasters career and truly emphasized the concept of traditions and practicing rituals that are important to us.

As always, the evening began with 3 speeches:

> Ivo illustrated an image of his young self picking through mushrooms in a forest, while simultaneously explaining how his quarter life crisis has been tamed 🍄

> Ilona presented an informative speech about District 59, and her expertise in Toastmasters truly shined through 📚

> Ann Marie gave an impromptu speech on Greek traditions, and she could not forget to talk about food 🌯

Next, the table topics were in line with the meeting theme and presented in a "this or that" format. Our guest from TM Amersfoort, Wiebe, particularly stood out for his humorous (and somewhat controversial) take on "beer vs wine."

Thank you to all members who signed up for roles and actively participated in the meeting! We appreciate all your efforts.

Thank you to our guests for joining us; we hope you enjoyed the evening.

We look forward to welcoming you to our meeting next time! 🎉
