Mandril - up the stairs, right in the attic. The Mandril Cultural Center of Maastricht hosts a theater group. This project started from the conjunct will of people that arrived at the Mandril in different ways to have a space to work with theatre, share theatre experience, start a theatre experience... let's say, do something with theatre, and share it. We want everybody to bring his theatre expe
rience. Also, we would like to turn this experience in a "something" (let's say a "play", in its extended meanings). So the basic idea is to organize every meeting in two parts: a first one, the "training" part, in which theatre exercises, styles and perspectives will be proposed every week by everybody that wants to (nobody is obliged, everybody is invited); a second one, in which we will work on a play, or monologues, or everything we're interested to work on and present to an audience. The meetings take place every Wednesday at 9pm in the Attic of the Mandril. You don't need any knowledge or experience to take part in the meetings; even if it is gonna be your first theatre experience, you're really welcome! Nobody is born as an actor. (or maybe yes, but how can you know before actually acting...) Anyway, none of us is a professional, we don't require anything, and we don't try to make profit from this project.
