Vectum is the study association for all students studying Econometrics and Operations Research at Maa Currently a new restructuring process is in place.

Vectum is the study association for all students of Econometrics and Operations Research at the Maastricht University. It was founded in 1994 and, as of today, has about 225 members, including a rising number of foreign students. Vectum (Verenigde Econometristen Uit Maastricht) was formerly known as SCOPE | Vectum after during the restructuring process of the study associations in Maastricht that

took place in 2011, it was decided to remain independent from SCOPE, the new umbrella association at the School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University. Throughout the year, Vectum organises a broad range of activities. They cover social events, such as drinks, sports events and a Members Weekend, as well as academic and career-related events. Examples of the latter would be regular research lectures, the Vectum Congress or the Vectum Business Trip. We also have our own magazine, the PerVectum, which is published quarterly. Further, Vectum works in close cooperation with the department of Quantitative Economics on the evaluation and further development of the study program Econometrics.

Voor studenten in finance, quantitative finance of andere studies met aantoonbare interesse in financiële economie en markten.

Wij hebben een drie nieuwe stagevacatures voor het Stageprogramma Centrale Bank bij De Nederlandsche Bank. Er is plek voor 12 stagiairs binnen de divisies Economisch Beleid & onderzoek, Financiële Stabiliteit, Financiële Markten en Betalen, Cash & Marktinfrastructuur.

De stages starten vanaf 1 februari 2025 voor een periode van 3 tot 6 maanden. Er zijn zowel meewerk-als afstudeerstages beschikbaar. Aanmelden kan tot en met woensdag 20 november.

Het nieuwe stageprogramma van omvat drie profielen:

Economie: (mogelijke studies zijn (macro) economie, econometrie, (financiële) economie).
Data & Tech: (mogelijke studies zijn data science, kunstmatige intelligentie, informatica, econometrie of andere kwantitatieve studies).
Financieel: (affiniteit met (financiële) economie en/of financiële markten).

Bij DNB werk je met impact op financiële stabiliteit en duurzame welvaart. Domein Monetaire Zaken vertegenwoordigt de ‘centrale bank’-taken van De Nederlandsche Bank. Dat omvat onder andere het sturen op stabiele prijzen in de economie; belangrijk voor financiële stabiliteit en duurzame welvaart. De taken van Monetaire Zaken zijn voor een heel groot deel onderdeel van en ingebed in de bredere DNB-organisatie, het Eurosysteem, de Europese Centrale Bank (ECB) en de nationale centrale banken van de eurolanden tezamen. En we vinden dat onze mensen steengoede teams vormen. Precies de plek waar je wilt zijn dus.
