🚶‍♀️ HISTORUN DAY TWO 🚶‍♂️

On the second day of Historun, we walked through the streets of Leiden and visited places connected to the stories of Indonesian students during World War II.

Each street, building, and location carried its own story—one of courage, solidarity, and resistance that once grew within this city.

The journey ended with a reflection session and booklet activities, giving participants the opportunity to look back on the stories they had heard throughout the walking tour.

Thank you to everyone who walked, learned, and remembered with us. May these stories continue to be shared with future generations. 🇮🇩

✨ HISTORUN DAY ONE ✨

The first day of Historun was filled with meaningful stories, reflection, and remembrance.

Through the exhibition, virtual walking tour, and storytelling session, participants were invited to learn more about the lives of Indonesian students in Leiden during World War II—from their experiences as students and their involvement in the resistance, to the personal memories carried on by the generations after them.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our speakers, committee members, and everyone who joined us in listening, discussing, and keeping these important stories alive.

🚶 Historun Walking Tour is back!

We’re excited to finally explore Leiden together on Saturday, 4 July.

Join us as we walk through the streets of Leiden and uncover the stories of Indonesian students during World War II.

Tour 1: 10:00–11:30

⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE – Historun Leiden ⚠️

Due to a Code Red weather alert, we have made changes to tomorrow’s programme to ensure everyone’s safety.

🚶 The Outdoor Walking Tour has been postponed.

Instead, the tour will be changed into a Virtual Walking Tour. The tour will still be guided, but participants will experience the walking route through video during the exhibition.
