🌊 Inspiring times at the 3rd International Mediterranean Coastal Erosion and Climate Change Adaptation Conference 2024 in beautiful Malta! 🌍

Developing a Coastal Protection Strategy for the Maltese Islands

Through collaborative efforts with national authorities, local stakeholders and scientific experts, we have made significant contributions to the design of national policy and strategic planning in Malta supported by the EC DG REFORM Technical Support Instrument (TSI). This initiative aims to address the need for proper planning to adapt and mitigate coastal erosion, ensuring the resilience of our coastlines.

In the past few months, we worked closely with DG REFORM and national authorities in Malta on a short movie about the initiative EUCC is leading on. We are proudly sharing this achievement, as we also reach the completion of this initiative successfully!

It has been a pleasure to work intensively, during the last two years, with an excellent group of experts from IHCantabria, Aktis Hydraulics, University of Malta and other international specialists from Italy, Ireland, France and Spain. Soon the final results will be published and we’ll be sharing those and more news!
