STUDENT CONFERENCE, Call for Abstracts
Leiden, The Netherlands
Have you already submitted your abstract? The deadline is only three weeks away...
Study Association T.W.I.S.T. is organizing the 14th Student Conference in Linguistics on the 17th and 18th of April (2020), centered around the theme "Lost in Language".
So are you a BA/MA/PhD student studying linguistics or doing language-related research? And do you want to share your thesis, paper, or project with a community of fellow students in a 20-minute talk? You can be one of the 22 student speakers at the conference!
Your talk can also only be tangentially related to the theme and you will be able to :
- listen to other talks, both by students and keynote speakers (soon to be announced), who are renowned specialists within their field;
- attend workshops;
- take part in our (partially thematic) pub quiz;
- join in on the final Speakers' Dinner!
Check out our website for more information : conference.studieverenigingtwist.nl
Speaking at the conference will give you the chance to polish your presentation skills, strengthen your academic network, and may provide you with new insights in your own work through questions from the audience. Attending the conference as a speaker will grant you free entrance on the day you are speaking and will allow you to join the Speakers' Dinner, where you can get to know students from other universities and exchange your thoughts and ideas.
Don't hesitate to contact us if you're still left with any questions!
[Please note that we are not in a position to reimburse any extra costs; any fees regarding, for instance, visa, transport or lodging are to be financed by the student speakers themselves.]
(Signing up as an attendee possible from the 1st of February)
