The Twin Run

The TAPS Support and Twin Run communities were saddened to hear of the recent passing of Jan Smit.

Jan was the father of Mart Smit, our Twin Run coordinator, and one of our strongest supporters of the first Twin Run. He coordinated not only Mart's road crew, but also the photography along the 90 kilometer challenge that Mart undertook back in 2021, but his company, Smit in Beeld, was one of the Twin Run's first sponsors.

Our thoughts are with his wife Astrid, Mart, Sylvia, Lennard and Thomas, and the rest of their families at this time.

We are so grateful we had the chance to know Jan, and his support and generosity will always be remembered by the TAPS Support and Twin Run communities.

There's 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 than meets the eye. There are 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, and this can have a 𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 on families. We're supporting the Well Bee Study, in order to find out how complications impact families, and 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦.
