Wat is het? De Green Office is een door studenten geleidt orgaan die opkomt voor duurzaamheidsinitiatieven binnen de Hogeschool. Het doel van GO VHL is om duurzame ideeën, signalen en initiatieven van studenten te ondersteunen om Hogeschool VHL verder te verduurzamen. Dit doen we door het creëren van bewustwording over duurzaam
heid binnen VHL, maar juist ook door het creëren van concrete mogelijkheden voor studenten om bij te dragen aan de verduurzaming van de Hogeschool. De Green Office werkt op beide locaties, Leeuwarden en Velp, en organiseert op eigen
initiatief activiteiten die de bewustwording versterken en duurzaamheidsprojecten
ondersteunen. De GO VHL initieert in nauwe afstemming met de duurzaamheidsprojecten
MVO, AISHE en BREEAM en neemt tevens deel aan landelijke netwerken van studenten over duurzame ontwikkeling. De Groene Draad gaan organiseren, een reeks van workshops, lezingen en/of andere activiteiten worden georganiseerd met een duurzame tint om studenten enthousiast te maken en een duurzame boodschap mee naar huis te geven. GO VHL is altijd opzoek naar enthousiastelingen! Lijkt het je wat om ons team te versterken? Of heb je gewoon een leuk, duurzaam idee voor VHL dat je graag gerealiseerd ziet? Loop dan eens binnen bij F0.22 in Leeuwarden of D012 in Velp, of stuur
een mail naar [email protected]. Zit je vol met duurzame ideeën die jij graag werkelijkheid ziet worden? Kom dan langs bij de Green Office, wij kunnen je hepen deze ideeën te realiseren. Heb je nog geen duurzaam idee, maar wel geïnteresseerd in de Green Office je kunt altijd een bijdrage leveren aan bestaande initiatieven, zoals de groene draad. Wat levert het jouw op? Naast dat het heel leuk en leerzaam is om met duurzaamheid en organiseren bezig te zijn, kun je met je slb-er of VIP-coördinator (voor studenten in Leeuwarden) bespreken of je er slb- of VIP punten mee kunt halen*. Daarnaast worden er voor GO’ers ook workshops gegeven en kan je mee naar (landelijke) duurzame evenementen waardoor je ook je netwerk kunt uitbreiden. Kortom, een upgrade van je netwerk en je CV.

What is it? The goal of GO VHL is therefore to spread the need for sustainable solutions by facilitating sustainable ideas, signals and initiatives from everyone involved with VHL. Summarized, this is where students work on a better direct environment, within VHL, and thereby contribute to that of the world. We do this by creating awareness for sustainability. We ask students and staff to contribute by inspiring and inciting them to take action on sustainability. Especially students are asked to join the GO VHL and spread the message! What do we do? The Green Office is located at both locations, Leeuwarden and Velp, and organizes activities that raise awareness and support sustainable projects. The GO VHL initiatives are in close coordination with the sustainability projects, CSR (MVO), AISHE and BREEAM, of VHL and also participates in nationwide (student) networks on sustainable development. Next to all external initiatives, GO VHL will organize the ‘Green Wire’. This is a series of workshops, lectures and/or other activities with a sustainable theme. The contents of these activities are varying, so for all tastes. What can you do? GO VHL is always looking for enthusiastic students! Do you want to reinforce our team? Or do you just have a great, sustainable idea that you would like to see realized? Please,

You can always contribute to existing initiatives such as the green wire, or you can work on your own idea for which you can request a budget. What’s in it for your? Besides the fact that it is fun and educational to work on sustainability
projects and organize events, you can discuss with your SLB or VIP-coordinator (for students in Leeuwarden) if you can get any SLB or VIP points for your work*. In addition, you can join special training workshops and go to (national) sustainability events where you can expand your network. In short, upgrade your network and your CV!
