Culinary Cuore

Culinary Cuore Cuore is the cooking association of Stenden Hotel Management School in Leeuwarden. Cuore is Italian for 'heart': cooking is done partly with the heart.

Students extend their cooking skills learning from a Chef in a fun and motivating environment. But in the same language Cuore also means 'core'. We want to go back to a part of the core of hospitality. Cooking could and should get more attention. Our Story

‘Cuore’ is Stenden’s one and only cooking association. We founded this organization because we have one thing in common: we are passionate about food and cooking. ‘Cuore’ is Italian and has two meanings. First of all, it means ‘heart’. We think that cooking is not only about knowledge or skills but about being in there with your heart. However, ‘cuore’ also stands for ‘core’. Cooking is part of the core of the hospitality industry and we want more focus to be put on that.

We are a group of international students from different study courses. We meet almost every Wednesday to cook, eat and have fun together and beyond that also improve our cooking skills and product knowledge.

If you are interested in joining ‘Cuore’ but are not sure yet if it is the right thing for you, come and visit us at one of our Open Cooking sessions that we do once every module.
