We nodigen je graag uit voor de ICPS Conference 2026, georganiseerd door Werkgroep Carnivora in samenwerking met de International Carnivorous Plant Society, in de Hortus Botanicus Leiden.

De conferentie vindt plaats van 21 t/m 23 augustus en brengt 19 internationale sprekers samen, met lezingen over uiteenlopende onderwerpen zoals veldonderzoek, taxonomie, kweek en natuurbehoud.

Naast de lezingen zijn er thematische sessies en discussieforums, met volop gelegenheid om kennis te delen, ideeën uit te wisselen en je verder te verdiepen in de hobby.

Naast de conferentie is er nog veel meer te beleven:

• Een grote, zorgvuldig samengestelde plantenshow door leden van Werkgroep Carnivora (te bezoeken t/m 30 augustus)
• Een verkoopmarkt met meer dan 20 internationale verkopers
• Praktische workshops
• Een conferentiediner
• Drie excursiedagen (24 t/m 26 augustus) naar kwekerijen, botanische tuinen en natuurgebieden

Of je nu komt voor de lezingen, de planten of de ontmoetingen, we hebben ernaar gestreefd om van deze ICPS een veelzijdig en memorabel evenement te maken.

Call for vendors!

ICPS Carnivorous Plant Market 2026

The International Carnivorous Plant Society welcomes both commercial sellers en hobby growers to join the ICPS Plant Market, taking place 21–23 August 2026 at the Hortus Botanicus Leiden during the ICPS Conference.

This year’s market will be held outdoors on the lawn in front of the Oranjerie, beneath the trees: a scenic and shaded location ideal for plants and visitors alike. Reverse osmosis and rainwater will be available for watering, and plants can be stored safely in the greenhouse each evening.

Vendor options:

• Full three-day participation (for commercial sellers): €75 (4×2 meter stall)

• Saturday only (primarily for smaller vendors and hobbyists): €30 (4×2 meter stall)

• Saturday small table (ideal for hobby growers with limited sales):€15

A number of well-known international vendors have already confirmed their participation. Don’t miss your chance to join them and present your plants to a passionate global audience!

Schedule for vendors:

• Friday, 21 August: Setup from 08:00, market opens at 12:30

• Saturday, 22 August: 9:00–18:00

• Sunday, 23 August: Market opens at 9:00 and closes at 18:00 (packing up allowed from 16:30).

16–17 May 2026, we’ll be hosting our first Carnivorous & Exotic Plant Symposium & Expo in Kernersville, North Carolina. Vendor space for this event is nearly fully booked, and we’re excited to bring growers, vendors, and plant enthusiasts together in person. 🐜
