What happens when we truly listen?

Join us for a playful and interactive 90-minute workshop exploring communication, connection, and different ways of listening. Through experiential activities and guided reflection, we'll practice navigating tension, understanding different perspectives, and creating more meaningful conversations.

This workshop is inspired by methods we recently discovered during an Erasmus+ training course and are excited to share with our local community.

Canโ€™t believe a month has already passed since the Climate for All team gathered at Knutepunkt 2026 ๐ŸŒโœจ

Knutepunkt is the annual Nordic LARP conference, bringing together hundreds of designers, researchers, artists, and players from all around the world to explore the possibilities of immersive experiences and participatory storytelling. This year, around 550 participants came together for a week full of conversations, workshops, games, and inspiration.

Throughout the event, the Climate for All team contributed in several different ways:
๐ŸŒฑ Hosting Spirit Path, one of the eduLARPs from the Climate for All game collection
๐ŸŒ Facilitating a Climate & LARP panel discussion
โœจ Presenting โ€œCan LARPs Have Impact?โ€ and showcasing the Climate for All project and its' impact

Beyond the workshops and presentations, we also got to celebrate, party, reconnect, and create new memories together โ€” one of the most beautiful parts of gatherings like this ๐Ÿ’›

A huge thank you to everyone who joined and supported our sessions! It was meaningful to explore together how games and LARPs can create space for dialogue, empathy, and climate engagement. ๐Ÿ™Weโ€™re also deeply grateful to the Erasmus+ programme for making it possible for us to carry out this meaningful work and bring these experiences to communities across Europe.

๐Ÿคฉ One especially precious moment for us: all the designers behind the Climate for All games were present in the room together. Seeing the full team gathered, reflecting on the journey so far and imagining what comes next, felt truly special.

Now, weโ€™re looking ahead to the big closing event of this three-year Cooperation Partnership project: the final Climate for All dissemination conference in Brussels at the European Committee of the Regions. Weโ€™re excited to celebrate everything the project has achieved and continue sharing its learnings with new audiences across Europe.

A throwback to the beautiful few days at the EduGame Artefact Expo hosted by Shokkin Group ๐ŸŽฒโœจ

The expo brought together an inspiring mix of game designers, educators, youth workers, NGOs, facilitators, and creative practitioners from across Europe โ€” all exploring how games and playful methodologies can create meaningful learning experiences.

Throughout the event we joined fishbowl discussions, tool markets, playtests, and conversations about the future of educational games and interactive learning. It was exciting to see such a wide diversity of approaches: from analog games and LARPs to facilitation tools, reflection exercises, and experimental prototypes.

I also had the opportunity to share some of Selkieโ€™s projects, including the playtests of Our Feelings Deck, and InTension. One of the most valuable parts of the expo was not only testing ideas, but discussing how these kinds of tools could be adapted for youth work contexts and potentially evolve into future collaborations and Erasmus+ projects.

What stood out most was the openness of the group: people genuinely curious about each otherโ€™s practices, willing to experiment, and eager to exchange ideas across disciplines and cultures. These kinds of spaces remind me how powerful play can be โ€” not only as entertainment, but as a way to build connection, reflection, empathy, and dialogue.

Huge thanks to everyone who shared their tools, feedback, perspectives, and energy throughout the week ๐ŸŒฑ

The project was implemented by Shokkin Group Estonia and funded by the Estonian National Agency Noorteagentuur under the Erasmus+ programme

We are back in Poland ay the EduGame Artefact Expo, hosted by Shokkin Group and Nausika! ๐ŸŽฒ

A full and inspiring start โ€” jumping into fishbowl discussions and a lively tool market with a diverse mix of people: game designers, educators, NGOs, and associations working with games from all across Europe.

Jennifer has the chance to share a bit about Selkieโ€™s work, including our on going projects Our Feelings Deck and InTension, and connect with others exploring similar paths of learning through play.

Excited for the next days full of playtesting and learning!

Back at LARP Alchemy #7 Edition training course hosted by .foundation and our hearts are full ๐Ÿ’œ

Such a special reunion with fellow alchemists from the very first edition โ€” years later, still gathering to play, create, and dream together. This time weโ€™re diving deep into the magic of LARP: exploring how magic lives in mechanics, storytelling, and transformative player experiences โ€” and how to design these into meaningful moments in play.

Between theory, co-creation, and gameplay, new partnerships are already forming and future LARPs are being born โœจ

Feeling incredibly grateful for this space, these people, and this journeyโ€ฆ this is where Selkie first began, and it still feels like coming home.

"Our Feelings Deck" Budapest Co-Design Seminar (Day 4) โ€” Integration & Looking Ahead ๐Ÿงฉ

The last day felt different.

A bit slower, a bit fuller โ€” like everything needed time to land.

We spent the day at the Calm Space, the headquarters of Sulinyugi Foundation, gathering what had emerged over the past days. Not trying to make it perfect, but trying to understand:
What do we actually have here?

We split into smaller teams, each focusing on a key part of the deck:
๐Ÿงฉ Selecting and refining the emotions to include
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Creating and aligning templates for the exercises
๐Ÿ” Shaping the overall model and structure of the toolkit

Alongside that, we:
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Shared what each group had been working on โ€” and where things still felt unclear
๐ŸŒฑ Reflected on what feels truly useful in real youth work settings (and what doesnโ€™t)
๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ Talked about what comes next, knowing this is just the beginning

Some ideas felt strong. Some are still messy. Some are parked with more questions remaining to be answered.

And thatโ€™s okay.

This project was never about leaving with a finished product โ€” but with something real enough to continue building, testing, and questioning.

We closed the seminar with a beautiful dinner on a river cruise โ€” with traditional live music and dancing. A touching and joyful way to mark the end of these days together ๐Ÿ’›

Itโ€™s strange how quickly a group like this forms, and then disperses again.

Grateful for the honesty, the care, and the willingness to stay in the process.

Now the real work begins โ€” bringing this into practice. In the coming months we will continue to develop ths prototype and begin local testing in Hungary, the Netherlands, and Germany! More progress sharing to come!

"Our Feelings Deck" Budapest Co-Design Seminar Day 3 โ€” Co-Design in Motion ๐ŸŒŠ

By Day 3, we stepped fully into co-creation.

With ideas already taking shape, we shifted into a more fluid, hands-on design process โ€” working in smaller teams and following the energy of what wanted to emerge.

Together, we:
๐Ÿ” Dived deeper into selected exercises and concepts
๐Ÿ”„ Iterated, tested, and refined ideas through feedback loops
๐Ÿงฉ Combined different approaches into new formats and activities
๐ŸŽฏ Focused on how each exercise supports emotional resilience in practice

There was less structure, more trust.

Day 3 reminded us that co-design is not about getting it โ€œrightโ€ the first time, but about staying open, collaborative, and responsive to what unfolds.

"Our Feelings Deck" Budapest Co-Design Seminar (Day 2) โ€” From Exploration to Prototyping ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

After immersing ourselves in existing exercises, Day 2 was about asking:
What do we take forward โ€” and what needs to change?

We began translating our experiences from Day 1 into concrete directions for the toolkit.

Together, we:
๐Ÿง  Reflected on which exercises felt most impactful (and why)
๐Ÿ” Identified gaps, challenges, and opportunities for adaptation
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Started reshaping and prototyping activities in small groups
โš–๏ธ Explored the balance between structure and flexibility in facilitation

We also had the opportunity to join a training session for volunteers of CalmSchool by Sulinyugi Foundation โ€” where we met local volunteers, many of them school psychologists, preparing to facilitate stress management workshops for two different youth age groups.

In the afternoon, we hosted a tool fair, where each team member shared past projects and introduced their organisation โ€” offering a rich pool of inspiration, methods, and perspectives to draw from.

This gave us a grounded perspective on how these tools are used in real contexts โ€” and for whom we are designing.

Working across disciplines, we combined insights from youth work, psychology, and creative practice โ€” grounding our ideas in real needs and lived experiences.

This was the moment where the toolkit started to take its first new shape.
Not finished, not polished โ€” but alive, evolving, and co-created.

Tomorrow: diving deeper into co-design and iteration ๐Ÿ‘€
